[ A certain blond, chain-smoking vamp can be found in sector 4, 5 and 0 doing what he does best. Killing time. Sauntering. A little light skulking. The occasional cup-of-blood-sipping — a guy needs to eat, y'know — and all the other activities that comes with an average, regular day.

[She just barely keeps from walking into the sudden field, and the immediate urge to say "of course" herself, though much more dryly and resentfully, is extremely high... but she resists somehow. Instead she crosses her arms and takes a quick half moment before speaking up to him flatly, still turned away]

--Have you already gone through this?

[Not having to explain means less opportunity for her to completely lose her composure, and if he knows the drill then he should want to get this over with so they can get the hell away from each other as fast as possible]

I'd be eager to get away from anyone in this place right about now. [Not an exaggeration, even with her completely flat tone. The few that she may be somewhat more okay with forced kissing in an enclosed space are either gone or... no longer considered such.

She halfway rolls her eyes, and shifts her stance, putting all weight on one leg; settling to something less tense but still hardly comfortable around him, since constant tension is tiring, and he's not looking to get this done real soon no matter what]

You were someone I knew before, and talking about killing for fun. I'd naturally have something to say.

No, you're not. [Immediate, and a little sharp. Her pointed look is only broken so she can direct it at the stupid little machine when it gives its order, but then it's put squarely back on him] I just wasn't certain when I first started speaking to you. But you have different experiences than him, or not as many, so you're not who I knew.

He was decent, occasionally. [Simply; she can't speak for anyone else's opinion, but] The rest of the time, he smoked, flirted, had terrible humor and I wanted to punch him in the face more often than I didn't.

[So she definitely wouldn't call him a saint, even after helping Nunnally, but... she kind of sees why this Spike would use the word]

Maybe he's being more transparent than he'd like but this is his future they're talking about here and having a bunch of strangers know more about it than he does is unsettling to say the least. Might as well even the odds a bit if he can, find out as much as possible about this git he apparently turns into. ]

Not as well as some, but still more than I'd have liked. I don't see why it all concerns you, though.

The chances of you becoming like him are low. You already know of that version, and are set against it.

[ Defensive, perhaps. A lot has happened in the few short weeks since his arrival. Perhaps he's not as hopeless as she believes him to be. Perhaps he's already considering it as a possibility, even if it's not one he's anywhere near ready to accept as reality.

Not such a charming gentleman now...

[He gets a brief look as she mutters, before glancing away while pushing off the barrier that's pressing up behind. Part of her is all too ready to be done with this, but the rest is keenly aware of the uncomfortable feeling starting to twist up, kept at bay before thanks to the delay and distraction offered, that shows through in her once again tensed and evasive body language. She's never been okay with physical contact on this level, and the leading up to it happening with no way around it just makes it worse.

There's only enough space in the field by now for little more than a foot between them after she steps from it to get some breathing room, so she waits where she is, hands held firmly at her side with one maybe knotted a bit in the corner of her shirt, and she gives a single, unreadable glance before closing her eyes with a short sigh; trying to be casual here, but not quite succeeding. It's as close as she's getting to "puckering up", deal with it Spike]

[ Well then. Isn't this interesting? Little Miss judgmental sure seems to have a problem with physical contact or perhaps it's the affection part of it that puts her knickers in a twist. Either way he'll file it away for later — the barrier is starting to close in and he does have better things to do with his time.

Without further ado, he leans in to kiss her. It's solid and direct, without hesitation but definitely lacking the pomp and circumstance of a kiss that's actually brought about by desire. ]

[Composure up till that moment was pretty good, but she's unable to keep herself from squeezing her eyes shut just a slight tighter upon contact than they were previously. Thankfully, being inexperienced and uninterested with this sort of thing means she isn't even aware of what's lacking, yet going through all this the sad number of times that she has since it all began means that she has picked some up on what to do by now, unconsciously or not, so while she's not especially responsive to Spike, she does meet him halfway after the initial, almost drawing back.

It only takes a few seconds for the burst of confetti to come with a small pop, and before she's grateful for the announcement that they can stop now, she's grateful that it didn't seem to take forever. For her at least.

Then she's sliding away now that she's free to and turning in the same motion, quick enough to avoid a glimpse of him and hopefully vice-versa, before starting a steady trot down the hall. No looking, turning back, nope. Just going right to home]
