[ A certain blond, chain-smoking vamp can be found in sector 4, 5 and 0 doing what he does best. Killing time. Sauntering. A little light skulking. The occasional cup-of-blood-sipping — a guy needs to eat, y'know — and all the other activities that comes with an average, regular day.

[It's easy, so easy, to forget that he's not the Spike she knows with his hands on her waist and his lips against hers. Her arm curls around his neck and she goes up onto the balls of her feet into the kiss a bit. It's all familiar, the coolness of him against her, the way he kisses and the warring of her slayer senses against what Spike makes the girl in her feel.]

He isn't thinking much of the girl right now. The Slayer. His sworn enemy that he was so set on decapitating last he was in Sunnydale. Instead it's curiosity that allows him to get lost in the moment, some morbid fascination with the future that he has no intention of having but still intrigues him so. They were together. They can be together. It has been done or it will be done or won't ever be done but he's still curious to the possibility and although he has no intention of pursuing that curiosity fate dropped a pretty good opportunity to play in their lap.

Fingers curling ever so slightly in her clothes, he experimentally pushes his tongue forward. Getting a little carried away. ]

[ Of course he recognizes it — he's spent enough time watching her, studying her to read her expressions clear as day even if he's never had this set of emotions directed his way before. It's an odd thing to see, sharp like a punch to the gut and for a moment he's torn between punching her back and kissing her.

In the end he just releases his grip and shakes his head, taking a step back. This is ridiculous. ]
