[Oz is out in the open amidst all the celebrations. Going directly from a battle to a celebration? That’s a shocker. He’d just had Kelden in his arms. Bayarmaa was badly injured. So many dead wolves. So many dead Slayers. So many dead humans. And now instead of smoke it smells like cotton candy.

Oz’s reaction? He looks left. He looks right. His brow furrows as the memories of this place flood back into his brain space. And then…]

Huh.

	Barely a year. [And suddenly Oz looks more disturbed than Cordy has ever seen him, except for that one time when they had both caught Xander and Willow together. Time works differently here, right? I'm sure you've just come from a moment in time where I'm six feet under. And Angel's been here how many times? I'm pretty sure - and I'm no Wesley with his books and brains - but I'm pretty sure that what you're missing back home isn't going to turn ugly without you. If the Champion can be abducted twice without the world ending - so can their Lieutenant Wolf.

	[Actually, her words help a lot. Which is surprising to Oz. Because it's Cordelia. Sure they had been through some pretty intense stuff before. But they had never really taken the time to actually know each other beyond it being nice to see a familiar face and saving each others lives. He looks at her quietly for a moment.] Thanks. Really. You're welcome. [ she says it uncertainly. oz has always been difficult to read, even if he's always been such an open book. this is the part where she'd grab his hand, but cordelia's not quite sure if that's a thing that will bring oz comfort. she hates that all she feels is uncertainty; she's good at this, yet, here she is, unsure of how t comfort a good friend. ] They're going to be fine. Because if they're not, I'll personally come back and kick the asses of everybody who messes with Kelden.

[ and that's a promise; she might have the habit of breaking them, but that she'll keep. ]

I bet he's adorable.
