Day 196 || Group 4's Therapy Session
[ Once approached, there's a little table set just inside the entrance way with crayons and name tags ready for the various inmates called to participate in this particular therapy session. Yes, Group 4, you are being called on to be creative with your name tag. Do try not to hold up the line ♥

Inside, there's another table laid out with tea and water, another for coffee. There's a few snacks as well. Fruit, mostly, some pastries. There is also a sign that clearly reads "Do not eat outside this area." No sense getting sick by accidentally drinking the water you used to clean out your brushes after all!

But, honestly. This is a Healing through the Arts session and as such, the various stations in the room are set up in 2's and 3's for your use. Finger painting by the easels. Build your own frame out of colored macaroni. A coloring station for those of a less creative bent, and even a "basket weaving station" for those who want to untangle their frustrations. ]

At each station, one will find a series of random questions:

1. What color best describes you? List three adjectives to explain your choice.
2. What was the weirdest food you've ever eaten?
3. What do you think the most ultimate gift of the world is.
4. What makes you feel the most secure?
5. Who do you admire the most?
6. What is your concept of a fruitful day?
7. Is the glass half empty or half full? What is in the glass?
8. What is something you have lost that you have never found, or were tremendously relieved when you did find it?
9. If you wrote a book about yourself...what would it be about?
10. When have you laughed the hardest? Cried?
11. Or pick out your own

((ooc: Feel free to rotate around the stations or make up your own art activities. The theme of this therapy session is to expose/get in touch with your inner self. Threads for name tags and refreshments will be started otherwise just set up your own character in a thread at whatever station you choose.))

Smear some paint around, make it modern abstract art and then bullshit your way through what it all 'means' to you.

Throw in something about sex and your childhood. They should be satisfied.

I see... and I suppose you're quite experienced in those areas then. Tell me then, what is your painting going to reveal about your childhood? Let's try to leave the sex out of it for now...

I've seen a great deal in my life. [Since his lifetime has consisted of one thousand plus years...it's a true enough statement. His childhood was so long ago and so removed from what and who he is right now that he doesn't mind talking about it.]

I felt pressured by my father's expectations, fear that would let him and others down. I lived in his shadow, constantly afraid I wouldn't be good enough, but it was a fear that I brought on myself. My father always had complete faith in me.

[ she paused in her painting, peering over the edge of the paper with curiosity. ]

And did you manage to escape from that shadow? And I do believe it's a father's prerogative to have faith in his children. They're our hope and future after all.

[ and while she may not have children, she's seen the orphans of war. It still mattered. ]

In some ways, yes. [While Eric still aspired to have power and rule over a relatively small number of people, he had no desire to be king of anything. He would have a good chance at being king based on his age alone, but when one factored in his charisma, his ability to pander to the public when necessary and the fact that his baby sister was a member of the Vampire Authority, he should have been a shoo-in, except that he didn't want it. With king came a slew of responsibilities and a requirement to give several fucks, which Eric had always had difficulty doing.]

I have, for the most part, ceased to care about his opinion.

[ she refrained from laughing but only just barely ]

I see. And does that mean you've made your peace or simply moved on? [ she knows there's a difference. Unfortunately, some men never had the chance to make their peace. ]

[Eric considers that a moment.] I suppose it's more of a moving on kind of thing. I'm still looking for revenge. My father, my entire family in fact, was murdered.

[Little does he know, back home he's gotten revenge and he will know. Shortly.]

[ her hand stills and then she's swiftly wiping them dry on a handy towel. ]

I see. Please, accept my condolences. That can hardly be an easy burden to bear. [ she's felt that need, but fortunately, she has seen far too much death to crave it. ]

It was a very long time ago. [Part of needing revenge is just who Eric is and part of it, he's certain, is a vampire nature. He's long ago quit trying to separate the two.]
