[ faith could be found all around the dome today, but the action happens later in the day at the athletic center.

instead of stopping by to train earlier, faith waits until the evening to go work out some aggression. it's been a wake up call; both forcing herself not to use her slayer gifts and forcing herself to be more conscious when using them. this session doesn't go so well; some of the equipment looks a little worse for wear after faith's done with it. her hands took a little more abuse than normal, too. ouch. ]

[ once she cools down from messing with the athletic center, faith decides to check in with the home team. ]
Yo, so what's the deal with the cage, anyway? Our points work out? Cause I could do with some metal-bending. [ to keep her from doing some people-bending... ]

	Flip the switch. Something I was working on back home, putting all the negative energy into the Earth. Find it. Take control of it. Let it flow through you and out of you. Put it into the Earth. And the Earth will create something beautiful out of it.

Well, if it works for a wolf, let's hope it works for Dead Girl.

[ you know, that voice inside faith's head that tells her no one loves her and nothing's worth anything. the dead girl talk that says she should just give up and screw over the world before it screws her first. ]

[He doesn't completely get the dead girl reference for sure, but he can speculate and guess. He's actually spent time thinking about how Faith must feel through things that have happened and things he's heard about. Oz is a thinker, after all.]

All that Dead Girl, stuff... that's what you need to grab onto and push down and out of you. Focus on where you meet the earth and the air around you, that line, and push everything past that, out and away from you.

[ she's never heard oz talk so much. figures that when he decides to speak up, it's wiseman-levels of advice and being sage and all that. not that she's necessarily surprised, though. it's just nice to have someone so openly chill about things and looking to help her so actively.

not that...sitting here is active.

but she does it, to the best of her ability. faith's not sure about this line that she's supposed to be pushing past, but she can at least agree that the dead girl talk needs to go somewhere that's else. somewhere that's not her head, all the time. why not put it into the prison? maybe the wolf and dead girl can go hang out and cause trouble for the wardens or something. ]

There's a lot, you know? Just keeps coming. [ murders, a shitty childhood, slayer mistakes...all the wrong things. all the things that mean she doesn't deserve peace. ]

[Oz is kind of like Gandhi in that way. He doesn't get chatty often, but he he does, it's usually pretty important. At least to himself. Whether others get that it's important is entirely up to them. But he loves that Faith is trying something so out of her element. So he considers this worthy of a few important words here and there. He wants this to work for her almost as much as he wants it to work for himself.]

Yeah, I know. Meditation is like dying your hair. It takes upkeep. [Meaning one meditation session doesn't always make things better. You have to keep at it. The more repetitive it is the easier it gets to find that wall and push everything away.]

[ fortunately, it works for faith. if nothing else, this is something to do to pass the time. she gets to buddy up with oz the way she hadn't been able to back in the real world. and maybe it'll help her earn a little more redemption, right? ]

[He doesn't miss a beat with her, which is surprising to him. Back home this probably never would have happened. All he would have known of Faith was that she'd ended up in prison and then helped save the world with Buffy. Rumors he heard through the Supernatural rumor mill.

He's quiet for a long time before speaking again. He wants to let her know that he gets it. That he gets her. And that she's doing well. And all of that is summed up in three words.] This is cool.

It's not bad.

[ her way of thanking oz, expressing her gratitude and saying she might actually enjoy it. even if it's taking quite the bit of self-control and conscious learning -- things faith has never quite been kosher with. that she's getting all of this from a werewolf just makes her feel like maybe she really is changing. opening up. ]

Different, yeah. Taking some work. But definitely not bad.
