[ Arms full, Touma is heading home from the gift shop at the museum back to the apartment he shares with Sasha in the Streamline complexes. One can encounter him on the path from Sector 5, through the middle of the dome, and then into Sector 2.

His haul for the day? Several varieties of multi-player board and card games to fill in the empty hours on days when he doesn't feel like leaving the house (which is rather often). But he looks downright approachable today. Maybe even pleasant. He won't even mind if you stop him for a chat or ask what he's up to. ]

[ Voice ]
Well, that exhibit sure beats the others so far... [ ESPECIALLY the "stimulating" first one. But we don't talk about that. ]

So... who all picked up games at the shop? Saw a few that weren't at the arcade before. [ Touma actually sounds interested about something. Stop the presses! ]

Not yet. I'd been thinking of heading over, actually. Richie got me hooked on a few in the other dome, so I figured I could check out what kinds they had on display. Well, video games. But, it's not just video games, judging by what you got there, huh?

[She would follow him as fast as she could with those boxes. And well, just to be a cool showoff, she might just let herself phase a bit to keep herself and the boxes dry.]

Hey... [As they were hurrying...] I know that you have a weird thing that kind of nullifies my power and all, but... do you think that, if I touched you, I could phase you out? You know... to keep dry?

[Just a thought. She kind of felt bad for distracting him and keeping him out with all his new stuff if it was going to rain and potentially soak them through.]

[ Gulp. ] ...think I'd rather get wet. [ Oh wow, harsh. ] I mean, uh, we dunno if it'll work and if we stop to find out we'll just end up wasting time. [ Touma jerks his head forward. ] Not like we can't duck into somewhere empty if it picks up more in the next minute. [ Which it just might, but the apartment's just ahead. ]

Besides, you remember what happened when we tested it before. That kind of ability didn't work for Rogue either. [ Though how he found THAT out..... ]

[Urk... awkward. She was speechless for a second at his first comment, which gave him the chance to cover a bit. She just nodded.]

Right. Yeah. I'm sure it'll be okay.

[She wasn't going to ask about Rogue. She knew enough about Rogue's clothing habits and powers to figure it was probably something to do with one of the events... or, at least, she kind of hoped.]

[ At least he has the sense to mentally kick himself. ] Look, it's nothing personal... I just like my body the way it is. It's just water. It's not a big deal. [ And it's soon to be a little more water as he talks. But running any faster and he'll just be tempting fate and that won't end well at all for either of them. ]

We're almost there! [ Though now it's actually raining, so rushing doesn't do them much good. It just makes the raindrops feel like they're hitting him a little harder than they actually should be. ]

No, it's okay.

[She gave him a smile. It was a little weak, but genuine all the same. It was easy to forget here that there might still be people weirded out by special powers or the idea of having them used on them, even if it's to be helpful. While things were fairly accepting in Marina, like they were at Xavier's, it was still less like being at the boarding school and a bit more like dealing with the general public back home. Sort of in between the two.

She looked up at the buildings as they made their way along, looking to see where his "there" was.]
