Notes: There will be a thread for people to talk to Rumpel under! Otherwise, everyone can go ahead and tag each other and have some good old cast fun. The huge tl;dr will be everything Rumpel is explaining to the entire cast, so then individual threads can come from it!
Since the arrival of his shop in the strange land, Rumpelstiltskin had been using it for his own purposes. Not only were there items from their world on the shelves, but new items had come and gone as well. Items that belonged to those who were trapped within Mandalus as well. He had been using them as a bartering system. What they wanted, they would have returned, once they retrieved something for him. All of it was designed to find a way to get them back to Storybrooke. Rumpelstiltskin had no interest in the war in Mandalus, but the fact they were brought by technology and not a curse had stunted his self imposed task. Hence the belief that if he gained powerful items that belonged to the supposed Gods of Mandalus? It would help him greatly.
That brought him to the next step in his plan. Making individual deals had not worked out to as much benefit as he hoped. In typical fashion for Rumpelstiltskin, he preferred to be on the upper hand of all the players involved. Sometimes having shared knowledge made it easier to manipulate people. Belle said that he was a good man, and perhaps he was, but he was not above using underhanded techniques to get his way.
He had messaged all of those from the Enchanted Forest to come to the shop--even August Booth, as much as he hated the idea--after hours. Once the last of them had entered, he motioned them to follow him into the back.
"It would seem that we've all found some common ground in this land, despite our difference in backgrounds." Mr. Gold said. "We all want to get back to Storybrooke. The reasons are trivial at this moment. And that means, as much as we may not like working together, we must keep each other informed of what we have found in this land. Hence me bringing all of you to my shop."
He walked over to a door and opened it. "I advice that you watch your step as you go down. Especially those of us who have a bit of a limp." A look was tossed at August as they descended into the small cavern below the shop.
Waiting for them was a fairly sized cave, with a long white branch like stream that cut through the ground. It illuminated the dark cavern, and the water that had collected on the ground shimmered because of it. Rumpelstiltskin stood towards the back, his hands on his cane as he gauged each of their reactions to the precious find. No doubt that they did not realize what they were looking at. It took him time to realize it as well.
"This," he finally spoke up, "is the very same thing that appears when the Serpent rips the sky open. If it is made of science or magic matters little at this point. Because through this?" He then made a whimsical gesture to the stream. "Comes all the little items from our lands. This apparently connects this land to ours and the other lands. Odd that they didn't include this in their welcome speech when we arrived here."
