Watched any DVDs recently? Or are you still on a no-movie streak? I'd think it would get boring, not sleeping and not watching movies.

[Private to Bruce Banner & Tony Stark]
Hello, Bruce and Tony! So, my roommate (Gwen, science-interested, working at a dragon research center here) wants to meet both of you formally. Because science?

I asked for dates (since she's a workaholic) and her suggestions were the 23rd, 24th, or 25th. Is there any day here that would work for both of your schedule?

I watched the first...erm...Thor movie a bit ago but not the Avengers movie yet. From what I read of it, I don't think I would want to.

Worry not about me, I will find ways to entertain myself. Or that's probably what you are worried about.

I could watch it with you, if you wanted, but I'm not sure that'd help.

Would you fault me for curiosity and/or worry there? Really? Really?

It might. Why do you want me to watch so badly anyway?

Only a little, Ms. Darcy.

Omniscient, no narrator, point of view. It seems like a good thing? Of course, we could watch something like "Pride and Prejudice" instead...

Really?

I would be very surprised if you actually watched something like Pride and Prejudice without narration.

Well, I do not need to be minded. I'm not a child.

I was referring to the Avengers not having a narrator. And do you want to bet? I mean, it's not really narration there. And how do you know about Pride and Prejudice?

Oh, I forgot, you came from the culture where it's okay to eat all the Poptarts is right and wondering how friends or friendly-like people are doing is wrong. Do you ever just pause and listen to yourself or is huffing and growling an instinctual thing?

I amend my statement to say that I would be surprised if you wanted to watch Pride and Prejudice at all. It seems very sappy. And this Google is a wonderful invention, you know.

By now, it is instinctual I would say.

It is very sappy, but it's a good sappy. "The Proposal" and a few others are a good sappy too. Though maybe it's partially instinct to see if you'd endure it. And you're finally coming around the useless information on these things? (What was what you said, right?)

Try fighting instinct sometime.

What is 'good sappy'? I'm not certain I could endure such a thing. Perhaps with more cookie dough. Well, since you mentioned Pride and Prejudice I assumed I needed a reference point.

It's difficult to do that after thousands of years. I'd need quite a bit of incentive.

Good sappy means it doesn't make you cry and instead can be laced with comedy. In the case of Pride & Prejudice, though, it means the characters are easy to emotionally attach onto. At least a few of them are. Good sappy means a person gets the fuzzies instead of getting the urge to hurl.

If I'm making cookie dough, I think you need to try pizza. Exposure to not-sugary-junk food seems only right.

Try it anyhow. And like what? Agreement not to send you links to horrible hate sex filled fiction?

The fuzzies. That still sounds plenty sappy to me.

Pizza? Very well. I don't need to worry about becoming obese thanks to your human food.

That agreement takes very little effort. We're talking about thousands of years of one particular mindset.

Mr. Chill
[info]darcylewis
2013-05-19 06:25 pm UTC (link)
And why is it that the fuzzies are bad? Who doesn't like fuzzy things, so long as its not mold?

Or your teeth falling out? Pizza and cookie dough and movie, then. Do you have a mobile DVD player or did you watch the first movie on your phone?

You talk about incentive - isn't that incentive? I'm not talking overnight change, I'm talking trying. Do I strike you as a normal case? No. Besides, it's not like trying would kill you.

I don't. I am not exactly fuzzy-inclined, if you couldn't tell.

How delightful, I can hardly wait. And I went to the library to watch it there. It was fairly comfortable.

Why does it matter if I try or not?

What was the last fuzzy thing you tried or touched or had around that was fuzzy?

Maybe we should just see something in the movie theater. Maybe there's something sappy out.

Why wouldn't it?

Never. As I said, I am not fuzzy inclined.

That's not what I asked.

Not fuzzy inclined doesn't mean you might not like fuzzy in small, specific doses. You don't know unless you try.

There's this or this. Otherwise, I'll have to see what's on at the theater that shows old movies.

What did you ask, then?

Scared to try fuzzy? It's not like I'd take a photo. You'd just delete it.

Let's go to the movie about Oz, then. The other is set in America awhile ago and might be confusing in some ways. Oz is entirely new place.

Because it does. Dick. T You don't want to fight instinct because it's been that way for thousands of years, blah blah. Well, I'm not thousands of years old, I've not been the one behind the things causing you to be growling. Why would I not want you to try? You're more fun when you're not growling like I'm about to kick you while wearing stilettos. It's called being jaded and it has nothing to do with the color green.

It's not a matter of being scared, but how does one even try that? It's something unquantifiable.

Midgard at any time is confusing, but very well. You shall learn all about Oz.

An interesting explanation. Is there a reason I shouldn't be jaded?

By watching a sappy movie or two, visiting an animal shelter, and a few other things I've yet to think of. There are plenty of opportunities to try.

We.

Why would you want to be jaded? It's n It seems like it would be easy to miss out on things. And I'm not going to figuratively kick you while wearing figurative stilettos, so I don't see the point.

I can't, but okay, then. A pet store instead of a shelter. You could watch me coo over the fuzzy things and wonder about my earthling sanity.

When? Or do I get to pick?

You've known me for two weeks. You haven't had time to miss much yet.

...what? I meant with 'life' in general, being jaded hasn't made me miss much. If I missed you I could simply come and watch you sleep.

Do you? And you could, but then the potential fun goes out the door.

Tuesday afternoon? I didn't get Monday off again. Unfortunately.

Maybe not in the past. And don't make me pull out a copy of Twilight the movie to watch instead of going to see Oz.

Tuesday afternoon then. We can meet at [cinema address] at [showtime].

Maybe not, but I could text you at least a thousand fan videos. A realm of fanwork that can be scarier than fanfiction, especially where Twilight is involved.

More like playful kidnapping that includes making them wear funny hats.
