So I'm thinking about getting a baby-sitter for tomorrow night. Anyone want to have a girls night out and have some fun? I could definitely use one.

You know that most of us are sporting animal body parts, right?

I know that, I should have referenced that if you don't have animal parts. Even though it would be kind of cool to hang out with anyone, animal parts or not.

I'm going to venture that most of us with animal body parts aren't going to want to go out. And there are a bunch of us who literally can't leave the confines of certain areas.

I'm sorry that you won't be able to get out due to you having animal parts. I didn't mean for it to come out, I just could use a night out. I'm stressed out and just need to relax with more adults.

And the rest of us aren't stressed?

Good luck with the plans.

Well, now that you put it. A nice bubble bath and a glass of wine with a chick flick to myself sounds pretty good too. Since I already got a sitter for a few hours.

If you don't have a babysitter I'd be happy to help!

I would actually love that. I just need a few hours to myself. How much do you charge an hour?

...Ariel? What the hell!? I thought you... You're supposed to be dead.

Uh no. I'm Julie. Who's Ariel?

... Oh. She was, uh... someone that I knew briefly. Very briefly.

You could be her twin sister. It's kind of creepy, actually What's your last name, if you don't mind me asking?

Oh....I've been in that type of situation with people before.

My last name is Stark. I hate to burst your bubble, but I'm an only child.

No bubbles burst here. She's not exactly someone you would want to be related to. But just to be sure, you don't have an affinity with fire, do you? ...Yeah, that's not a weird question at all.

I'm glad to have known that. So she was really that bad huh?

A better word might be misguided. And maybe a little nuts. She went a little too far in trying to help her father.

Oh well, than maybe this Ariel person and I have something in common, both doing things for our fathers. But I never did anything nuts to help him though.

Well, just try to avoid kidnapping and conspiracy to commit murder. Even your father isn't worth that.

That's not my style. Although its my dads way of getting answers, he's a lawyer and will do anything to win.

So if I may ask, who are you?

Ah, lawyers. Yeah. I know my fair share of them.

I'm Nick.

Yeah, my dad was one of the top lawyers in LA. I'm actually studying to become one here and work at law firm. So what is it that you do?

Its nice to meet you Nick. So tell me a little bit more about this Ariel, she really looked liked like me?

I was a detective back home, but I just got here with a fishtail so... I'm doing nothing right now. Just trying to figure all of this out still.

Identical. I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around it. But she wasn't a lawyer-in-training... She was a fire dancer. Great performer. But she had a hard life, grew up way too fast because of it, and lost herself in trying to help her mentally unstable father.

Well, hey if you need help with that, I've been here for a while and will be willing to help you with any questions you may have about this place.

A fire dancer? I'm pretty sure that with this body I could not pull something off like that. I'm still trying to get the baby weight off and its almost been a year. She sounds like she was pretty misguided, so what happened with Ariel...is she still around?

Thanks for that. Right now, I'm just hoping that I'll be human again soon.

Oh, well... She was very, uh, good at what she did. Mesmerizing, actually. But, unfortunately, no. She died in an explosion.

Oh yikes, you just got here and already you got turned into something? What you get turned into?

Well, I'm sorry about her death. I can promise you that I'm not evil, I'm very nice that is until you get on my badside and then I do have a little bit of an attitude problem.

Yeah. I'm unlucky and lucky and loved and hated by this place. It's a great start. I got the great privilege of being turned into a merman.

It was her own choice. Not one I would have liked her to have seen through, but there wasn't a whole lot I could do. And don't worry. I think we all end up with an attitude problem when we're having a bad day. You are not alone.

Yeah it seems that there are a lot of mer-people in this place now. Don't worry it won't last forever. Weird stuff happens here all the time.

I guess you're right. I try and not have a bad attitude though in front of my son. So I try to keep a positive attitude, but sometimes people just get on your nerves.

That's what I've been told. I'm just ready for whatever this is to be over with.

Don't try too hard to keep how you're feeling from your son. It will be a lot of wasted energy, and as he gets older, he'll probably figure it out on his own anyway.

Yeah we all look forward to when everything goes back to normal. Until something else happens. You get used to it eventually.

Thanks for the advice, I sometimes do lose my temper in front of him. But I like to think that he'll learn how to keep his cool if he sees me doing it, but at the same time, when he does get older he's going to see those things. Its scary sometimes to think about that.

I guess you don't really have much of a choice.

Well, don't take my advice as law. I'm not a parent, just a son.

Not really which really sucks to not even get a warning to when something is going to happen. So how are you enjoying being a merman? Is it as exciting as it seems? Sorry I'm a huge Disney fan and little mermaid was my favorite.

Well, I take people's advice as it is. I do appreciate it, it's hard raising a son alone at times but he's pretty great.
