I'm probably going to get smacked for this, but can't we just round them up and, I don't know, lock them in the Great Hall or send them out into the woods to live?

And if that's not viable please give me a rational argument as to why.

No. Because that's fucking insane and they'll be eaten by wild animals.

And I don't want to find out if we disappear if our little selves get eaten in an alternate universe.

Also, because it's fucking insane.

Okay, it might be fucking insane.

BUT we've lived through two alternate universes, clearly we will not cease to exist if they die.

We're not banishing, exiling or locking away the ickles, Reg.

Okay fine. Let's hear your great solution then?

We charm, poison, and tease them.

Poison!?

Gone off your rocker? My solution doesn't outright kill them. Which, it should be noted, killing them wasn't what I was advocating for.

A locked door cannot keep them all contained even if we could get them in there.

It is also unkind. They are confused as we were. They deserve better treatment.

Why not? Lots of us have magic or powers.

Unkind how? In the Great Hall they'll get food.

My smaller self in an angel too only, due to our different circumstances, he is more powerful than me. If he is distressed he will be very difficult to contain.

The other option was letting them roam free in the wilderness beyond the castle. It's viable.

How would they care for themselves? Some of them are very inexperienced. If you wish them dead be bold enough to say so.

They do deserve better treatment.

I'm not understanding why everyone's having such trouble. Little me is behaving herself and is happy. She and my fiance's little one curled up and were happy together.

I think you've just offered yourself up for babysiting purposes.

The thing I really don't get is...you lot have magic, and you can't seem to figure out if you give them something to do, and play with, they'll be better. And it's not like you don't have any idea what they like...

And they have magic too. And if you say the wrong thing to they might just go silent for hours, days, bottling things up until they explode in a spectacular display of uncontrolled magic, or they might lash out immediately in smaller bursts.

Ya, I know what they are like already, doesn't mean I'm equipped to handle them, nor do I want to.

...wow. You need to be talking to a child psychologist.

Why don't you start small, and get him a coloring book and crayons? Or turn the tv on cartoons?

It's not like they're just going to vanish because you don't want to take care of him. He's yourself---do you really dislike yourself enough to throw him out into the woods?

I used to have one, but I don't anymore. And my younger version could really use one, that's for sure.

None of those would keep him occupied for long, not with his brother around, they stick like glue together.

And yes, I'm not too particularly fond of myself, it's a rather well established character trait that I'm seeped in self-loathing.

My best advice is to just...try to help him. That's what I'm trying to do with my little me. Things back home are going to get stupid for her soon enough--I'm trying to make her time here as full of necessary life lessons and entertainment as I can, because heaven knows my parents didn't bother teaching me anything useful.

It may actually be cathartic to you to at least try. I mean, you know what he's going through. Maybe...talk to him for a few minutes without...trying to shove him in a closet. I'm sure he'll appreciate an adult that doesn't treat him like crap. And it may help you too.

You think a locked door could keep me and Al out of something? Only time a locked door stopped us was if we did it ourselves like last night.

Hey, now that the only problem I'm having with ickle me is that he won't give up my wand, I don't really mind having him around.

Hardly extreme. Have you seen some of these children? Down right frightening.
