Who: Myka and Helena
What: Valentines Day and Truth Plot Shenanigans.
When: Valentines Day
Where: Bering and Wells Sitting Room.
Warnings: Fluffiness. Flirting. Inability to speak anything but the truth. Will update as we go.

Valentines Day. Precisely 147 days since Myka and Helena had come face to face for the first time since the Warehouse explosion. The day that they had expressed their true feelings for one another. Since that day they’d had their ups and downs where at times their relationship was strained. Saying the wrong things at times upsetting one another. Secrets being shared that most assuredly had taken time to getting used to. But no relationship could be perfect. At least that was what Myka believed deep inside. If they were both perfect individuals with an entirely perfect relationship neither would be the woman that the other fell for. As she finished the last touches of her makeup, Myka smiled. The last 147 days she wouldn’t change for the world. She was with the woman she loved and nothing was going to tear them apart.

The days ahead were undoubtedly going to be tough to handle but they’d get through it together. The castle’s lastest shenanigans had caused a panic and the backlash wasn’t going to end anytime soon. As much as she saw it coming, Myka still couldn’t handle the fact that the younger Helena and Anakin’s had ended up together in the future. In her mind they were very much still like their adult selves and it stirred up feelings that Myka was unaware she had. There had never been the idea that Helena would leave her for someone else until that moment. The pregnancy had been just an additional blow. Myka had kept quiet though she was certain that Helena had noticed that something wasn’t right, but thankfully the Victorian woman hadn’t mentioned it at all. On top of all that she still hadn’t come to terms with Pete and Steve now being gone. She’d only buried those feelings beneath everything and focused on how everyone else was feeling.

Smoothing out her dress, Myka took one last look at herself and then tried to calm the butterflies. She’d gone out while on lunch during the week and purchased a pearl bracelet for Helena. The Victorian woman had mentioned once or twice her love for pearls and Myka knew that it was the perfect Valentines gift. But without even meaning to she’d gravitated over to the case of engagement rings. Helena was the only person that she could truly see herself marrying. The only other person would have been Sam and he had been gone for a long time. After looking at a few she found one that would fit the Victorian woman perfectly. The band was simple and the diamonds accented the ruby that sat in the center. The smile on her face as she walked out of the store that day would have been the brightest she’d ever worn to those who knew her.

As she walked out into the sitting room Myka picked up the teddy bear and smelled the flowers that she had been left on the table. Across the room the two dozen roses, a box of chocolates, and the box containing the bracelet she purchased for Helena sat on a side table. When the door to the room opened, Myka knew instantly who it was. Young Helena had chosen to spend time away from the two of them for the evening and so it could only be one other person. Turning she smiled a smile that reached her eyes and lit up her whole face before saying, “Happy Valentines Day, Hel.”

Helena had read up on how Valentine's Day was typically celebrated in these days. She'd lived in the era where Valentine's cards were more cherished than Christmas cards. Not to mention Valentine's cards tended to be outrageously audacious in her day. Despite the fact she was a romantic at heart, Helena had never liked the ostentatious cards with the rather liberal application of paraphernalia to the cards. Of course had she ever truly had someone she wanted to give a Valentine to, she might have felt otherwise about them. But as it stood, she had been one who had tended to scoff at the cards that tended to be more expensive than she believed they were worth. Of course, she'd received a fair amount of Valentine's cards in her day, her admirers were never few in number. But the fact she had never given a Valentine spoke to her heart. There had been the very specific few she had genuinely been in love with, but she had never given them a Valentine's. After all, they had been married, it would've been improper.

So after gathering enough understanding of the modern Valentine's Day and being driven by the romantic in her that Myka's presence in her life was nourishing, Helena had sought to make this a wonderful day for them both. The Victorian woman, for all of her pride and confidence was actually nervous. Being nervous was not a state she was used to in any stretch of the imagination. But she was nervous because Myka was her first Valentine. And Helena knew she would also be her last Valentine. The way she loved Myka was different from the others she had loved. Myka knew her inside and out, knew who she was, what she had been through, the things she had done and still loved her. Even before they had begun dating their relationship had had its ups and downs, but they were both still there, still believed in the other, and that meant more to Helena than she could ever properly express.

Helena had noticed that there was something wrong with Myka since the whole thing with the older younger Helena and Anakin having been here. She hadn't pressed the issue, now wasn't precisely the time to talk about that. But the fact she'd seen her younger self in love with Anakin wasn't precisely a revelation to her. Helena knew her heart and knew she was capable of loving more than one person at a time. Whether it was because she was a product of the time she had been born into and hadn't had a monogamous relationship, or whether it was due to something more innate within herself was unclear. To Helena, she had, after getting over the shock of her younger self being thrust upon her, come to view her younger self as a completely separate entity to her. Where someone else may be able to see the similarities in personality and character between them, Helena saw a complete break, saw two separate people that just happened to have the same name. But that was an issue for another time, and also one Helena tended to keep quiet about.

Returning to their room with their dinner in hand, Helena stepped inside, glad that her younger self had saw fit to go elsewhere for the evening. She should perhaps pay more attention to her younger self lest she and the younger Anakin try to pull another stunt, but right now, Helena's only concern was Myka. Looking up at Myka as she heard her greeting, she took a moment to admire her girlfriend, a warm smile curving her lips, adding a sparkle to her dark eyes.

"Happy Valentine's Day, My," she returned, her smile growing wider, causing the corners of her eyes to crinkle. She did love using the shortened form of Myka's name. "Though I feel underdressed for the occasion. Perhaps if you can spare me a few minutes, I can change." Despite having taken to enjoying wearing pants in modern times, Helena still dressed quite well, and she was currently impeccable in her skinny dark denim jeans and dark red blouse that seemed to compliment her dark hair quite well. Of course, while Helena was indeed serious on changing clothes, she was also going to use the time to retrieve Myka's own gift, an engraved bracelet, as well as applying a bit of perfume.

Myka couldn't help that her smile grew when Helena used her shortened name. It hadnt escaped her notice that when said it was almost possessive. As Helena's gaze swept over her clothes Myka did the same. Helena's outfit was casual but accentuated her figure. When her girlfriend mentioned feeling underdressed and wanting to change, Myka frowned. She didnt want to see the tight pants removed. Walking right up to the older woman, Myka slid her arms around Helena's waist and rested her hands on her ass. "Do you have to change?" Myka wouldn't prevent her from changing into another outfit but she really wanted her to stay in these pants. "I'm a little in love with these pants and how they cling to your body."

Pulling away, Myka smiled and then grabbed the food in her girlfriends hands taking it and placing it on the table. Walking back over to the love of her life she leaned forward and gave her a quick innocent kiss and then tilted her head to the side. As Myka continued to look at Helena the love she had for her shown through.

It was not a complete accident that Helena enjoyed using Myka's shortened name. It did help express the older woman's innate possessiveness about her lover. Of course, she didn't always intention make it sound possessive when she said it, but it was how it came across at times. Though upon seeing Myka frown, she was about to make some other suggestion when her girlfriend walked up to her and set her hands on the older woman's ass. Which caused Helena to arch a curious yet still flirtatious eyebrow at her lover. Though with the question, any hope of having a sarcastic or snarky response flew out the window. "Well I do need to go get your other gift from where I hid it, and wanted to add a little perfume to the mix." So all right, she revealed she had another Valentine's gift for Myka, but she at least could live with that. She had rather noticed she couldn't quite keep things under the radar as easily the past couple days, but so far she didn't mind the revelations she'd made. She still managed to keep the fact she was planning to ask Myka to marry her a secret, which she was glad for. "I think you more mean you like staring at my ass in these pants." Finally, the snarky response once the truth was out of the way.

Watching Myka set the food on the table, she couldn't help but to admire her in that dress again. She did have a great admiration of Myka's beauty, and she knew the younger woman didn't exactly wear dresses much, if at all, so she did take full advantage of admiring her in them when she could. She returned the quick kiss and smiled warmly. "You look beautiful, love." She made certain to let Myka know that as often as she could. She was beautiful and not a day passed where Helena wasn't grateful and respectful of having Myka's love. It would be something she always treasured and held close to her.

Brushing a hand through her hair, which was getting on the longer side of things as she hadn't cut it since her arrival here, she let her gaze wander over Myka yet again, for she couldn't help herself. Lifting her gaze back to her lover's eyes, there was a glint within them. She was wanting to see how Myka liked the bracelet she'd gotten for her. It wasn't lost on her that Myka tended to not wear jewelry much, but she hadn't been able to resist buying the necklace for her birthday, and now the bracelet as a marker of their love. "Are you hungry?" She'd perhaps purposefully left the question open to interpretation as she tended to do rather frequently.

The gifts that she had received from Helena earlier that day had been more than enough. But it still warmed her heart to know that her girlfriend had gotten her something else. To be honest she didn't need anything except for the Victorian woman's love. So long as that was returned then she would be perfectly content with her life. When it came down to it, Myka knew that as long as Helena was here she wouldn't let her go. She had just barely survived losing Pete and Steve and would only be able to carry on should Claudia be sent home if the Victorian woman was still there. Myka only broadcast a smile at first in response to Helena calling her out. "I can't help but stare at your ass in all its firm glory" Helena was generally more snarky than she was but Myka could dish it out just as well.

The smile on Myka's face grew until it was a beaming smile. Every time that Helena would tell her that she was beautiful or show her how beautiful that she was it brought a smile to her face. Ever since she had confirmed to the Victorian woman how her sister Tracey had always been the pretty one, Myka was constantly reminded that she was beautiful. It wasn't that she was ugly. But in school her head had always been stuck in a book and rarely would guys want to be around her. If they had it was because they wanted to cheat off of her or ask her for help with an assignment. Tracey had been the popular one that never had a moment where boys weren't fawning over her. It helped boost her confidence to know that Helena found her beautiful.

"You are far more beautiful than I could ever be," Myka said. She may be beautiful in the older woman's eyes but for Myka, the Victorian woman was gorgeous. Everything that she had never known that she had wanted. Generally when Helena asked a question Myka would carefully think of her answer. But that wouldn't be the case today. Words just spilled out of her mouth without even a pause. "I may be hungry but it isn't for food." There was a moment of silence after she spoke where Myka was in a bit of shock. While she had opened up and been more free with her expression she had never been quite so forward.

Helena was no doubt aware that she didn't need to spoil Myka with material things, but she couldn't exactly help it. The Victorian woman was happy and she wanted to indulge in the feeling as much as she could. She'd never had the chance to give gifts to a lover before like this. Helena never did tire of letting Myka know how much she was loved and how happy she made her. After everything she had suffered in her life, Helena hadn't thought she could ever achieve happiness to this level. Yet here she was having Myka prove her wrong yet again. And it was a topic that she enjoyed being wrong about.

"Well then, that is very useful information to know," Helena returned with a smirk. She would most certainly put that information to use in the future. Though she was temporarily distracted from such thoughts by the beaming smile that was on her lover's face. She did love seeing Myka smile like that. It lifted her heart and made Myka all the more beautiful to her. Though of course whenever she said as much to Myka, she meant it as being more than simply skin deep. Beauty ran far deeper than just what someone's appearance was. Myka's mind, heart and soul were beautiful, and it certainly made Myka the most beautiful person she'd ever seen. Myka was the lover that Helena had spent her entire life dreaming of, and now she had her.

"I beg to differ on that topic, love. But I fear we could sit here for the rest of our lives arguing such a point." Helena chuckled softly, her dark eyes shimmering with warmth. Though with the comment about what Myka was hungry for, Helena looked Myka over again, her eyes sweeping down her lover's body then back up. "Are you now? Would you then be hungry for something warm and soft?" She noted the shock Myka and took a step closer to her lover. "Are you saying you would care for an appetizer, then?" Helena arched her brows, gazing a bit intently at Myka. She was wondering just how forward she would be. Yet Myka wouldn't be the only one acting in such a way as Helena didn't have a filter on herself either.

“At least if we did we’d be together.” Myka said in response and watched as Helena’s eyes swept over her body. A shiver went through her body in response as it always did. It was he look that always let her know that Helena was appreciating her body. Not that she didn’t know how much the Victorian woman appreciated her physically as she did know this. But it was just an ever constant reminder. She’d told Helena how Tracy had been the beautiful one. Myka had been the booksmart overachiever that was awkward when it came to relationships. And it still amazed her that someone such as H.G. Wells could love her and want her. It would probably always be a mystery to her.

When Helena stepped closer, Myka’s eyes followed every step that she took. At her question the answer was flowing from her mouth before she had even began to process it. “More along the lines of soft, warm and wet.” Whatever it was that was making her more forward, Myka was only slightly miffed. Helena was generally trying to get her to be more open and in a way it was doing her a favor. If there was one thing Myka Bering always did it was over think things. The lack of a filter was giving her the chance to not think and answer completely truthful. Returning Helena’s gaze, she added, “Can we skip the appetizer and go for the main course?” The food and her gift for Helena could wait until later because at that moment all she could focus on was getting her lover into bed.

"Together is precisely how I wish us to spend the rest of our lives," Helena returned, noting the shiver that went through Myka's body. It was something that seemed to always happen when Helena looked Myka over in such a way. The Victorian woman did enjoy having such an effect on her lover. She did enjoy seeing all the reactions that her lover gave her. It was more than thrilling to know that even as time passed, she could still cause Myka to shiver no matter how well they knew each other inside and out.

Whatever was causing Myka to be as forward as she was was a bit strange, but also enticing. Helena did enjoy coaxing such things out of her lover, but to hear them flowing so freely, she wasn't certain what was causing it, but she wasn't going to give that much thought currently. Not when she was more focused on other activities. "Enjoying the main course now can certainly be arranged," she responded, her tone taking on a more sensual edge. At that moment everything else was forgotten. Dinner and gifts could wait. Helena had more pressing matters to tend to, such as getting Myka naked.

Closing the remaining distance between them, Helena reached up and pulled Myka in for a heated kiss. Her other arm slid around the taller woman's back, pulling her body flush against her own. She always did enjoy feeling Myka's body against her own. They certainly did fit well together, though it would feel immensely better if they were both naked. Feeling Myka's skin against her own was a sensation that Helena would never grow tired of feeling.
