Who: Keleios and Cas
What: Taking Singer for a walk, reconnecting
When: Monday afternoon

Singer did his little dance, the same dance he always did when he saw the lead. Cas called him over and held the little dog's shoulder long enough to clip the lead into his collar. Singer started to pull on the lead as soon as it was attached but Cas knew he would settle soon. He was young and excited and that was alright for now. Cas knew he was too young to train that out of him completely yet.

He headed for the stairs, Singer trotting just ahead of him, then beside him as they descended. Castiel didn't need to walk to get to the garden but he had taken to doing it for the puppies benefit.

Singer didn't especially want to wait in the foyer but he seemed to relax after he found a pot plant to sniff at and Cas stood by it, allowing the puppy to distract himself quietly. He was eager to assure Kel in person. There was nothing to be concerned by in what had happened. He trusted her and he trusted in what he had with Sam. The only thing that concerned him was the fact she felt uneasy. It was then that Singer barked, his tongue lolling as he tried to pull Cas towards Kel.

	"Thank you," she said, leaning down to scratch behind Singer's ears a moment before straightening. Teleportation had been one of her least favorite, and least proficient spells in school, but she was persistent, and the efforts were starting to pay off. Cas lead the way, or more precisely, Singer did. Cas feel into step beside Keleios. "What have you been doing since Christmas?" he asked. "Sam and I have taken up a few... hobbies. We are attending a painting class and we tried rock climbing. Sam is teaching his name-sake basketball and I am curious to try. It has been a busy time."

The angel seemed to glow a little as he talked about all the things he was discovering. He had even made a new friend though he could never replace his older friends. "Have you ever played basketball"

	"I've never played basketball," she said, "I can honestly say, I'm not even sure how it's played. Unless I know it by another name." She shrugged her shoulders. "I've been teaching magics classes to the children, and training, as usuall. But I've also spent a bit of time with Dustfinger." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

“I only know portions of it,” he said of the game, “but I believe it can be learned. It’s played with a large orange ball and, apparently, it’s an advantage to be tall.” At just under six foot Cas wasn’t a natural candidate but that was no reason not to play for his own possible enjoyment.

“Are the children responsive to your lessons?” Cas asked. His experience with children was fairly limited, the child he saw the most was Dawn’s infant daughter and she wasn’t that interested in study yet.

“Dustfinger. Did he take you anywhere... nice?” he asked, a little cautiously, hoping that one of his suggestions hadn't ended badly.

Keleios was only about an inch shorter than Cas--her Elvish heritage was closer to that of Tolkien's elves than, making her tall and statuesque--but somehow, Sam, in all his human glory, towered over them both. She had to smile; and she could imagine that Sam would excel at all kinds of sporting events, but beyond that, Castiel always looked so radiant when he spoke of Sam. She was glad to see that nothing had diminished that glow.

"The children are always eager to learn. Something about learning magic seems to make it more exciting than mundane studies, for many of them. Perhaps I ought to give out more homework," she said, a soft laugh creeping into her voice. "Even some of the non-magically inclined students seem to enjoy learning magical theory. And yes," she added, as the subject changed to her dinner with Dustfinger, "We went to a very pleasant restaurant, and I enjoy his company a great deal. But then, I always do."

Castiel had long been looking for somewhere to place his shaken faith and he had found it, in Sam. He still loved his Father. He was created to and he always would, but he could not trust Him in the way he had. His Father had his own agenda and nothing was promised in it that protected the things that were important to the ones he cared the most for. He had sought permission from Michael to relinquish his duty while Sam lived and he's been grated it. He didn't know if he'd ever go back but, for now, he didn't have to consider it. He had his place and he was happy with where his loyalty was place.

"I don't know if the castle could withstand more magic homework, do you?" Cas joked lightly. "Though magic theory could be safe. I am curious as to how that magic system works, that force their is to draw on. If it's not from my Father then where?" Or was it from the Lord all the same and just outside his access.

Castiel was glad the restaurant was pleasant. "It was a date?" he asked carefully.

"There is all kinds of energy available to draw upon, in nature," she said, "Though in my world, many people also bargain for power from demons, or pray for favor from deities." She shrugged her shoulders. She was hesitant to get into a theological discussion, as she did not want to spoil a friendship, or even an afternoon, with arguments of whether Castiel's Father God or her own Mother Goddess was right and true. Her own faith had been shaken of late, and she was not sure she was ready to test it, quite yet.

She was glad to turn the conversation to her dinner with the fire-juggler, though that was also a complicated question. "I do not know if it was a date," she said, "He and I...we are fond of each other, but...I believe this is one of those times when humans like to say 'it's complicated.'"
