RP: The party has finally arrived
Characters: Romi Vane + OPEN
Date: Jan 31 2006
Setting: The main bar
Summary: Romilda blows into town.
Warnings: Knowing Romi, danger ahead!

Oh. Hell. Yes. Romilda thought to herself as she moved into the 4th bedroom in Villa Champak. The Villas outside the show were beautiful, and her already brown skin was nicely tanned from her days on the beach there (days on the beach avoiding the other 'contestants' - who wanted to hang out with stuffy old Pye and that attention whore McCormack?), but this was something all together different. Hot men just waiting to meet line up to meet her? And surely by now they were all bored of the other witches here, after weeks together.

She slipped into a brightly colored bikini and thong sandals and made her way from Champak to the main bar in another villa.

Millicent smiled. "It really will be. It's taken me long enough to get used to the lighter stuff again, going back will be rough." She mainly wore a variety of light and flattering dresses, sometimes a sarong and one piece swimsuit. She always aimed to flatter her looks and was on the more critical side of herself.

"Though," and her lips twitched into a smirk again, "I doubt the cold really changes the way she dresses."

"Amazing what you can do with a few well-placed warming charms," Lavender agreed wryly.

She sighed quietly. Envy was not a good look on her and she knew it. But for the first time in weeks, she felt a real sense of... was it competition? But if gorgeous, athletic Meghan McCormack (who also played for their mutual favourite Quidditch team) couldn't turn Cormac's head, could Romilda? No, she couldn't let insecurities start getting to her now, not with just a couple more weeks left in the villas. She trusted Cormac; as she latched onto that thought, a sort of warmth spread through her. Lavender wasn't going to let a neon bikini give her doubts.

"I should probably go and say hello," Lavender said, but made no effort to move. "But maybe after I refresh my drink."

Millicent looked casually over Lavender over the rim of her glass. She knew uncertainty when she saw it, as it was a familiar bedfellow; she was just used to hiding it at this point in her life. No need to give other people more ammunition than absolutely needed to have a go at her, after all.

She snorted softly, motioning for the bartender to refill the both of them. "How about we both have several more drinks and then go say hello," she suggested slyly.

Lavender bit back what threatened to be a loud laugh. She had missed this, female company. Here, everyone was sort of a rival and she hadn't spent as much time with the other women as she might have normally. For the first time in a while, a pang of homesickness hit her, but she smiled through it.

"That sounds like my sort of plan!" she agreed, cheered by the thought.
