RP: New arrival
Characters: Cinead MacFusty + OPEN
Date: 01.24.2006
Setting: The main bar
Summary: Cinead arrives at paradise
Warnings: TBD

Cinead had moved into the 3rd bedroom at Villa Acacia and then gone to the bar for a scotch on the rocks - not exactly an island drink, but he liked what he liked. His bare arms were built and had a few cross-hair scars running up them like flames - caused by flames, naturally, due to his work with the dragons in Scotland.

Xavier gave him his drink with a welcome and the tall blond man - he was 6'4" after all - accepted with with a nod of thanks and a dazzling smile. Cinead's mother, while she'd always been thrilled he'd gone into the family business, had more than once commented that he could have gone into modeling for Witch Weekly or something. And she wasn't wrong. He knew he was good looking and used it to his advantage when it came to the witches, but he loved his work and loved being outside and all the rough and tumble work that came with dragon wrangling. There was something old world about it, and Cinead may be a little bit vain and a little bit charming, but he was also a big fan of old fashioned behaviors and lifestyles.

He looked around him and took a seat at one of the large shared tables, sure the others would be around once they learned the new arrival had settled in. Wanting to check out to competition, right?

Bill roamed around rather restlessly. It was no one's fault; tonight was the full moon, and he couldn't help it. He wasn't a werewolf by far, but it had affected him enough to give him more of a temper and to feel the pull of the moon. He knew he'd meet up with Melinda later, or hoped, at least, and he didn't want her to be affected by any of his moodiness.

He finally headed to the bar to order a drink in hopes of relaxing. He noticed Blaise, and he couldn't help but grin a bit. "Hey, mate," he said congenially. "Wanted to tell you good job on stirring the drama pot. I had the urge to do that last time when I saw the glares he was throwing around." So, yes, the twins weren't the only Weasleys who liked to cause trouble on occasion.

"If McLaggen is so insecure that he's got to get defensive and upset about someone else showing the slightest interest in a lady that I made sure to acknowledge as his then Lavender has a hard road ahead of her." Blaise knew that to be true because he had a jealous streak. The one time he'd tried to have a relationship he had ruined it by his own actions. It was yet just another reason he'd shied away from looking for anything real.

Blaise shook his head and threw back the rest of his drink and debated whether he should flag down for another.

Bill himself had the occasional issue with possessiveness, but he also didn't get quite so aggressive unless someone was aggressive in return. Or it was the full moon. "I have to agree. I nearly chose her the other week just to stir the pot myself." It was that latent mischievousness in him that made him want to do it.

"I wasn't trying to stir the pot," Blaise knew that Slytherins had the reputation for causing trouble but he really hadn't meant to. "We had a moment of connection and I didn't feel at the time as if I had much of a connection with any of the others."

The statement was true when he made the choice, but the pang he'd felt when Meg hadn't been chosen by anyone spoke volumes. By then though, it was too late. Hell, even if there had been even the faintest possibility she'd probably expelled any thought of him from her mind as soon as she'd left the set.
