Summary: 2nd Choosing Ceremony

It was odd. All rooms looked different in the nighttime from what they did during daylight. That wasn’t odd. What was odd was how different the pavilion looked from this side as opposed to the other side where Alicia had been sitting a week ago. She was still sitting, she was still dressed to the nines, still looking across to seven incredibly handsome wizards, Lee was still there, and there was still a stand with roses between them. The only difference, really, was that now she was one of the people who got to choose. No, not got to; had to.

Before she could muse any further than that, Lee looked up from his notes and in an instant he was The Host, Lee Jordan, and he was intonating his words – just so – while looking at the camera – just so – as he welcomed them all yet again.

“A week ago, after each wizard had chosen one witch that they would like to get to know better, we said goodbye to Ginny. Tonight, Finbar will be part of the choosing ceremony after spending a week, along with the rest of the group, getting to know each other. So with no further ado; Ladies, please give a rose to the wizard you would like to get to know better. Lavender, if you would get us started.”

Cormac has gone into the week confident of his getting Lavender's rose at the choosing ceremony. But then that red headed weasel had asked her on a date and his confidence had turned to competition. She was the hottest witch on the island, and he'd been sure of their connection, but had no idea what had happened on the date.

When she looked to Bill with her rose in hand, he'd felt himself grow angry and disappointed all at once and then she'd looked to him and said his name and he crossed the room to her before she'd had the chance to come to him. "Yes," he said, before swooping down in front of everyone to kiss her soundly. Gryffindors had to make their mark, after all.

Lavender returned the kiss with enthusiasm, laughing softly when she broke away. The world felt a little better with him next to her and she wanted to explore that feeling as far as it went. As much as she had enjoyed her date in New York this week, the spark she was looking for was right here.

Figuring out the differences between Cormac and Mac the Wiz-TV personality was a challenge she found herself relishing. She would have all the time she needed, Lavender realised with a giddy smile. With a kiss like that to seal the choice, she doubted either of them were destined for dates with others while they were here.

She pinned the rose to his lapel. "Perfect."

Cormac straightened up as she pinned the rose to him and gave a smirk to the crowd, "Well I know I'm incredibly good at kissing you, but there's always room for improvement - nothing is perfect," he joked, leaning down to practice some more with another scorching kiss. He knew everyone was watching them and while the thought of pissing Lavender off scared him - she could easily take him in a fight, despite their size difference, he had no question - he loved that everyone was watching and had no doubt everyone was jealous.

One hand rested around the back of Cormac's neck as he kissed her again, largely so that she could keep herself balanced as he caught her off guard. Lavender's attempt to scowl was ruined by the smile that lit up her eyes; she felt like she was glowing from head to foot.

"You nearly swept me off my feet there," she teased, taking his hand and quite eager to continue their practice when there wasn't such a big audience. "Come on, we should let someone else choose."

	After being kissed so thoroughly by someone who she really liked, Lavender felt she could hardly be blamed if she looked a little smug. She smirked a little at Cormac. "I know I can," she whispered for his benefit. (Reply to this) (Parent)
