It was odd. All rooms looked different in the nighttime from what they did during daylight. That wasn’t odd. What was odd was how different the pavilion looked from this side as opposed to the other side where Alicia had been sitting a week ago. She was still sitting, she was still dressed to the nines, still looking across to seven incredibly handsome wizards, Lee was still there, and there was still a stand with roses between them. The only difference, really, was that now she was one of the people who got to choose. No, not got to; had to.

Before she could muse any further than that, Lee looked up from his notes and in an instant he was The Host, Lee Jordan, and he was intonating his words – just so – while looking at the camera – just so – as he welcomed them all yet again.

“A week ago, after each wizard had chosen one witch that they would like to get to know better, we said goodbye to Ginny. Tonight, Finbar will be part of the choosing ceremony after spending a week, along with the rest of the group, getting to know each other. So with no further ado; Ladies, please give a rose to the wizard you would like to get to know better. Lavender, if you would get us started.”

Alicia + Adrian

Try as she might, Alicia couldn’t figure out Adrian. A week ago, he’d picked her, and she had found herself looking forward to getting to know him, however, she still hadn’t a clue what he was all about. On the other hand, he hadn’t been hostile either or even giving off the vibe that he would rather be left alone. She just hadn’t figured him out. He was very much a conundrum that she wanted to find out, a very attractive conundrum.

“Adrian,” she said with a warm smile as she held her rose out to him.

Adrian was somewhat surprised Alicia had called his name. He'd chosen her the week before hoping to get to know her better, but then his own... gruffness... had gotten in the way of that. Adrian wasn't what one would call an "open book".

He stepped forward and gave her a small smile - of course on him, it looked more like a grimace - and reached out for the rose. "It would be my honor," he said, his voice breathy and low. Once he had the rose in hand, he leaned down a bit to kiss her on the cheek and whisper in her ear, "thank you," and he meant it.

Closing her eyes, Alicia reached up to touch Adrian’s cheek when he whispered in her ear. She breathed in deeply and let her cheek brush against hers when he pulled back. He smelled so good and his aftershave or soap or shampoo didn’t overpower it, rather it emphasized it.

She looked up at him, her smile brighter as she took his hand and let him lead them off to the side to join the other couples.
