Re: Bill
Melinda was enjoying herself. Even if she hadn’t been on a date this week, the villas were enough of an adventure for her to keep herself busy, both with exploring, trying new things, and more importantly: getting to know the people here. She wasn’t nervous about tonight. Sure, she’d miss out on some great dating opportunities, but she wasn’t going back home to London right away.
Looking at the men across the room from her, she was beginning to think that she had a pretty good idea about all of them. Some – or rather one – she knew entirely too well, others were showing promises of good friendships, and then there were the couple whom she would really like to get to know a whole lot better and who she could see herself falling for.
Her face lit up in a smile when Bill said her name, not just because he had picked her, but because she couldn’t not smile when seeing him. Accepting the rose from him, she let her fingers linger on his as she stood and leaned up, pressing soft kiss to his cheek. “Thank you, Bill,” she said, knowing it was futile, but still trying to keep it between the two of them.
