RP: Choosing Ceremony
Characters: Everybody
Date: January 9, 2006
Setting: The pavilion at Villa Lotus
Summary: 1st Choosing Ceremony
Warnings: None
Much to her surprise, Alicia had found herself slightly jealous of the witches who had gone on dates. Not that she really had had much choice in the matter, just like she hadn’t been not-picked by a wizard, the dates had just sounded like so much fun! Maybe, a small part of her hoped, this had been Lee’s way of making up for luring her into this under false pretenses, which was kind of sweet, but it didn’t get him completely off the hook.
Still, she had enjoyed the week, and had even found that the Ravenclaw and two Slytherins she was sharing a villa with, weren’t the worst villa-mates a witch could ask for. And maybe it was time to really get to know some of the other people around, because the medical discussions she had had with Augustus was bound to be getting to the others at this point. It was just such a rare occurrence for her to meet an actual Healer with the same level of interest in Muggle medicine as herself.
Now, however, wasn’t the time to think about that. Not when she was all done up in a floral dress with her hair and make-up done just so to make the tan she had gotten stand out. Those make-up people really did a great job.
Sitting on the high stool, she crossed one leg over the other and sent a smile to Meg sitting next to her. Although the two had never seen completely eye to eye outside of work, it felt good to have her there as they were waiting to see who would get chosen and who would get to go home.
“Tonight,” Lee’s voice interrupted her musing, and she drew her gaze from the wizards line up on the other side of the pavilion to the host as he began to speak, “marks the end of the first week of the journey towards true love. In the past week we have witnessed everything from new friendships to exciting passion, both amongst those who went on dates and right back here at the villas. For one witch, sadly this marks the end of her journey.” Lee turned to face the wizards. “Gentlemen, you have each been given a rose. A rose that you will present to the witch who you would like to get to know better in the coming week. Adrian, why don’t you go first?”
