Nikita hadn’t been big on the whole pod thing and while she found the whole ordeal gross, creepy, and high up on her list of weird, she wanted to shrug it off. There was no point of harping on the whole mess. While she hated the whole thing, it wasn’t going to change what happened. All anyone could do was move on, hope it never happened again, and carry on, which was what Nikita was doing. The whole pod ordeal was just something she’d shrug off considering she wouldn’t have changed the reason she ended up in one. Helping someone else was something she’d always do even if it meant turning into a pod person. Didn’t stop her from beating up a punching bag once the whole mess was done, but that wasn’t anything anyone needed to know.
With it getting closer to the end of summer, Nikita wanted to make sure she took full advantage of the nice weather before it was gone. Once winter hit, she could still go out for runs but had to wear more clothing so she didn’t freeze, but for now, she still had her warm weather. Pulling her dark hair into a ponytail, she stretched before taking off on a jog around the park. While her focus seemed to be on the run, Nikita knew to keep her focus on what was going on around her. To keep track of the people, things they were doing, and anything that could change. The assassin in her was always going to keep her skills in check by making sure she knew what was going on around her. During her second lap around, she stopped at a bench, using that to tie one of her shoelaces, noticing it was starting to come undone.
