Darkness settled over the city and she was happy. Deirdre liked the city at night, it was peaceful, and gave her plenty of room to explore without getting into the way of people. She'd begun building on the Settlement land, tucked up high in the hills away from everyone. She didn't need a car or any form of transport - she had the deck of trump cards she'd designed and painted for the town. She was expanding on them as she went and tonight found her wandering downtown to the fountain.
She used the Pattern to draw an easel and her painting supplies to her and she found a good angle to sit at. Those with the ability to sense magic would feel her working magic into the small cardstock painting she was working on - each brushstroke carried with it power, and she really wanted to capture the fountain in a form of perfection so that she could return here as necessary without all the walking.
Fingers moved the brush deftly over the paper, first sketching the basic design, then slowly adding paint to the mix. She was not as skilled as her sisters were, but she was good enough. Of course, to her, good enough meant she could get where she waned to. Her work was on par with someone who'd done it for a very, very long time but without the desire to be a master. She simply enjoyed it and had had a long, long time to get the skill to where she'd like it to be.
She was much more happy when it came to things like war axes and swords over this, but, alas, her siblings were not here to do the work for her. The Princess must simply get her hands covered in paint. She really didn't mind, it was just fun to wish that Fiona or Flora were here to do the work for her instead. That would, in fact, be a first.
