It took the former crab monster a second to register what she had meant when Deirdre mentioned the change in lighting. Mostly because glowing in the dark was a simply natural thing for him, and while he could control it, it actually took a smidge of effort. Still with a little nod of his head Tamatoa focused on those shifting neon patterns that danced across his entire form, until the illumination faded completely away...leaving him looking normal once more. "Better?"
Hearing the woman remark about how long she had been painting brought a genuine grin to his lips so suddenly. And with a chuckle the ageless one found himself looking at her with a touch more interest as well. "So you're like me then?! Not one of these mortal human lot? How delightful! I knew there likely had to be a few others about, but it's pleasant to meet another immortal here."
Since arriving in town the crab had been constantly surrounded by humans; and with so few exceptions he figured that was simply how things would remain within this mortal realm. So to have possibly come across another like himself, it was a real delightful treat.
