It was weird, not having Bucky right there behind her, not ready to jump in and stop her from making an idiot out of herself. She knew all she had to do was call for him and he'd be back in a flash but Molly was too used to knowing he was right there when something was important. This was really important.
Sitting, Molly crossed her ankles, thoughtful to angle them so her tattoo was well hidden. She'd covered it up with make up but if her dads didn't understand how cool it was, no way was her grandma; she'd be careful. "He is, yeah," she nodded. "The best. Especially because he didn't have to be, you know? He probably told you all about how he and my first adoptive mom used to be a thing but she kind of...she disappeared?"
She wasn't sure how much of Madison Valley they'd explained, and she wasn't going to be the one to do it if they hadn't. She wasn't going to talk about how disappeared had been followed by too many times coming back and not caring for Molly to make an effort anymore.
"He could have let me go into the system again but he picked me. And because he picked me I've got all this family now and I changed my name last Christmas and everything."
