With the beginning of Autumn rapidly approaching it became abundantly clear that Buffy was eager to head out and go shopping for decorations to put up around their place. Personally he had never been much for holidays, though Spike had a habit of enjoying the Charlie Brown seasonal flicks when they came on the tele. Still where she went he gladly followed. Grateful to spend the time in her company, especially since the two could now walk hand in hand beneath the sun thanks to the ring adorned on his finger. Plus there was something so sweet about seeing her carefree smile appear again. That smile that had tended to slip away beneath a look of concern when they had been back in Sunnydale. At least here, for the most part, there was nothing to fret about. No big bad or undead horde trying to lay waste to the seemingly sleepy town. So with his leather duster around her shoulders, to ward off the slight chill in the air, William walked down the sidewalk beside her. Holding her hand and chuckling every time they stopped to look into a store window when something caught her eye. Oh even his laughter was warm, and lacking in his usual snark. And once or twice the 'big bad' vamp may've paused to point out a festive decoration as well.
Any pedestrians out and about would've never once guessed that the bleach blonde vamp was anything more then a human. There was no trace of his vampire visage, nor even his usual black clothing either. Truth be told Spike had slowly started adding a few things to his own wardrobe as well. Simple jeans, a sweater or two, and her husband had picked up a suit and tie as well for taking her out on their date nights. For the present though his outfit was just a white long sleeve shirt, a pair of comfortable jeans, though Spike was never without his old black combat boots. Those piercing blue eyes of his, so filled with joy, seemed to have turned that gaze towards the window of a small candle store, and as he pointed at the centerpiece on display he flashed her a bright smile. "Think the sugar cookie ones would work for the dining room table? Or are you set on sticking with the darker brown and orange fall colored candles, luv?"
