Rogue woke up in her house that she shared with Johanna and instantly regretted being awake. Her head hurt and suddenly she had too many memories - so the town was done fucking with them that’s cool - but she suddenly remembered almost killing Connor and Nico and… she ran to the bathroom and threw up, hitting the floor with a thud as she shook. She’d totally had no control over any powers and now she had hurt two of her closest friends.
She racked her brain for any sign that she’d hurt Leonard and found none. That left her with a huge sigh of relief. She crawled to the shower and turned it on as hot as it could go. She dragged herself into it, fully clothed, and sat there under the hot water until she could stop shaking and the water was ice cold. More memories flooded in - Sif, Clove, Phoebe... oh lord help her.
Then she managed to drag her out of the shower and into her room. She pulled on the most skin-covering clothing she owned and took a long look at herself in the mirror. She saw the Hunger in her eyes and pitted herself against that first. It was a long struggle and she came out the other side with more Logan than her riding her skin. Sometimes you had to pull on the strongest one in your head to make life work.
She wrangled the Hunger back into a box, chained it down, locked it in another box and slumped to the floor. Utterly exhausted by the fight in her own head, wrangling Thomas into submission was hell, and she hadn't ever wanted to do it again. She stretched after a few minutes then got to her feet, and headed out, shaky and looking worse for wear. She needed coffee, which is where she headed first, more covered than she’d been in months, tapping away on her phone while she walked, using her senses to keep her out of the way of anyone else.
