I know this may sound stupid, but is there a coven that meets regularly? Even from different backgrounds, organizing something like that could be a start.

There's no coven at all here.

I don't know that anyone but me comes from somewhere where they're a thing and I haven't been a part of one for years.

Sometimes magic users do get together, just to get to know each other though.

I think I understand now.

It's still kind of new to me. In my world, I have run into certain powerful artifacts, but it's usually more complicated...it's what the user does with the item via the Force, as we call it.

No, that's true. Even when it's not all that uncommon. I still often find myself wanting to be cautious...to try and make sure I won't scare others with my abilities.

It's a sensitivity to a kind of energy...we call it the Force. Those who can sense it can use it in different ways. To help us in battle, to defend ourselves, to help others sometimes...sadly, too many would rather try to use it in its evil form. We often find ourselves fighting against them.

It's been rough, sometimes, but I do like to think that I've done as much good as I can...there are some ways that I can see where it's helped, but even when it doesn't...at least I know I'm doing what I can to help, even just a little.
