Although she was now mother to four kids, three that she birthed herself and one that she is a second mom to, life went on and Tea still had her college classes to tend to. That day, she was out picking up a book for one of her classes and she decided to take all three of her natural born kids with her. It was just a quick errand she needed to do before taking the kids out to a movie and lunch. As soon as she walked in, the two younger ones took off to the kids section of the store before Tea would even say anything. "Put everything back where you find it" She told him as she and Vivi, a pink haired teenager that didn't look much younger than her mother, headed to the section that Tea needed to be in. Hopefully the four and six year old wouldn't make too much of a mess.
K-Mart was wrangling the kids today -- or at least, the twins -- so Stuart wouldn't break quite as much. Which meant that it was pretty much just like another workday for her. Not with her current job, of course, because Natalia was still little. But the way it'd been for working as the Bartons' nanny, because Lila had been five. And she'd been the den mother to the little kids in the convoy. But those weren't her kids, weren't ones she'd actually given birth to.
It was kind of weird. But she didn't mind it.
And thanks to work, she knew how to keep kids busy. Up first was a trip to the bookstore to find some books to keep them busy until they were sent home.
"Clara!" she called out when one of her daughters got a little too far ahead of her. "Slow down, sweetheart, you don't want to get in somebody's way." And then the little girl ran into someone's path.
"... too late," she said under her breath.
Tea was able to stop in her tracks when the little girl ran across her path but Vivi was too busy looking around to pay attention and ended up running into Tea's back. The two of them laughed about it then Tea turned towards the woman whom she assumed went with the child that ran across her path. "I see you were hit with the invasion too. Isn't it a blast" She asked, completely joking with that last part. While others probably loved having kids, Tea was only 18 and no where near ready to have kids so having two little ones and a teenager was not very fun for her.
"It could be worse," K-Mart said with a shrug. "At least they're with my boyfriend. So I'll take what little I can get out of it, y'know?" Because she wasn't at all ready to have kids of her own, either. Being fully capable of looking after someone else's as her job was completely different from actually raising her own.
"I'm K-Mart, by the way," she introduced. "The human cannonball who just fired herself into your legs is Clara."
"Why don't you go make sure they're not tearing up the place?" She asked of Vivi, waiting until the pink haired teenager walked away before she spoke up again. "You could be in my situation. I have one with my best friend's boyfriend from home, two as a result of that whole relationship mix up thing a while back and her mom?" She paused to point in the direction that Vivi went. "We're friends but we're not even on good terms right now" That was probably the worst situation of all. The others she could handle with no problem. "So yeah, could be worse. I'm Tea" She replied before she looked down to Clara with a smile. "Hi sweetie"
"The one who did not barrel into you is Stella," K-Mart said, as Clara was giving Tea a slight wave. "And man, that sounds like a whole complicated mess. I'm suddenly very, very glad that this is all I've got going on."
Because she and Stuart were solid. Fairly uncomplicated and really solid.
"So, how many of them do you actually *not* mind seeing?" K-Mart asked with a wry smile. "Because I know a handful of people who are utterly terrified of all their kids -- my boyfriend included -- and a couple who are actually really happy."
"Hi" Tea told Stella before she looked up to K-Mart and nodded her head. "Complicated doesn't even cover it" She told her with a small laugh. She took a moment to think about her question then she sighed. "Is it horrible that I want to say none of them? I'm only eighteen and I don't plan on settling down any time soon so kids aren't in my future. I'm not even sure I want them after going through this twice. It's little too much for me"
