Luau Event

A large buffet is set up on a lawn overlooking the ocean. The buffet has almost everything you can think of, though specializes in tropical food. The dessert buffet is just as big. Before the food is served, you can go around and look at local vendor. There is a lei-making workshop (though the flowers are not leis but some alien flower that is similar). When food is served, there is entertainment of dancing and fire dancers and some local singing as well. The weather is perfect and so is the picturesque sunset.

Amara was having a great time on this trip so far. She had made a new friend -- she hoped -- in her surprise roommate, she was traveling in the stars and everything was paid for. This was so exciting and she couldn't wait to see what happened next.

Although, she didn't not go into the ocean very much while they were on this planet. She still had nightmares sometimes about the arrival of the Kaiju and she really didn't want to tempt fate to the ship or to Madison in general.

The party was for all ages and she had fixed herself a plate before finding a comfortable place to sit and watch everything.

George had spent the day at the beach. Despite spending a lot of time undercover, she'd burned--but it hadn't lasted long. One of the advantages of being undead. She'd swam and had drinks and rode horseback and had drinks and played beach volleyball and had drinks. Since the luau started she'd watched the fire dancers and had drinks.

Now she had a plate loaded with food, including some corn on the cob, and big plastic cup of more alcohol. She stumbled through the loose sand and plopped more or less intentionally into an empty chair next to Amara. She was wearing flip-flops, baggy shorts and t-shirt with an algebraic formula over the legend WARNING: EXPLICIT FUNCTIONS.

"Hi!" she said to the young woman next to her. "Mind if I sit here?"

	It only took a second for Alex to realize that it was actually Liz talking to him, and not someone else. "Shit, Liz. When did you show up?" Because of course this place would drop someone in on them while they were on a space cruise. He stood up and set his drink aside, offering her a hug. "Have you talked to Maria yet?"
