For anyone who is interested, the local fire stations are having 'Fire Truck or Treat' at all the stations this Saturday, from noon until 7pm. We'll also be giving tours of the stations, and handing out the annual smoke detectors and batteries for the smoke detectors.

And, as a reminder, after the incident that happened two years ago, it will be group tours only. No more private tours. The captain doesn't want to have to replace the bathrooms again.

Parents bring their kids to the station, they get to go around to different tables and get candy, safe treats and drinks, and tour the station and trucks.

The Los Angeles FD house that I was with did it, but not the whole department. It can be fun for those who have never seen one in person.

I'd have to ask dad or mom, they'd know more than I would. Though, I think that's something new altogether since I'm pretty sure it's not something that ever happened where I'm from.

I'm used to tons of questions. My kid goes on research spirals about the strangest things, and I've lived through that.

I don't have kids, but I was in the military. We did a few things here and there for kids and their families before I was shipped out.
