There's a portal at Book Place. I saw it on my way to work, and it's very... green.

No, I did not go in, because I was running late thanks to stupid daylight savings time.

	Yes. The portals open to all sorts of different places. This one appears to be fairly well-behaved, so only those who choose to go through it will visit the Emerald City (assuming that's where it goes). When some portals open, sometimes people wake up on the other side and have to find their way out. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

I mean that when portals to what the people who'd seen it before called The Upside Down opened in Madison, some of the resident here woke that day already in the Upside Down, and had to find their way out.* Others who weren't so unlucky went into the Upside Down, either out of curiosity or because they wanted to rescue people already trapped there.

*If you remain in a portal until it disappears, you get summarily ejected into Madison Valley again. But the Upside Down was a very unpleasant place filled with murderous creatures, so nobody wanted to stay.

	Can confirm. I woke one day to find myself already in the Upside Down. I did not choose to go there. It was a horrible place, and the monsters were fast and strong and vicious. (Reply to this) (Parent)
