Melinda had spent the last couple of days with some help setting up for the movie marathon. It was going to be a great event. As Melinda came earlier in the day to finish getting things set up, she made sure that the popcorn machine was going, there was Valentines Day treats and drinks, and of course the romantic music playlist that she had made the previous night for when people would enter into the theater. Melinda then made the list of movies to put on the door so people would know the order.

Once the list was up, Melinda orbed herself home and started to get ready so she could be back to collect the tickets and help to greet and serve people.

Melinda had orbed home and hopped into the shower so she could get ready to head over for the event. As she got herself ready with curling her hair and then putting on a red skirt with a white shirt with a red glitter heart on it. She put on her red shoes and orbed back to the theater. She still needed to plan a date night with Ned for Valentines Day. She would reach out to him while the movies were still going.

As she arrived, Melinda opened up the doors and went to the ticket counter. She swayed to the music that was playing on the playlist. She was sure that this was going to be a great event. Especially for people that were looking for something to do. As she did some homework while waiting for people to arrive, she made notes to make sure to ask people's suggestions to better the movie marathons.

Jiang Cheng was not quite sure who had suggested this "double date" thing, but it had not seemed like a bad idea at the time. Besides, he had seen how excited the idea had made his brother and he was still sticking to his determination not to be the one that hurt Wei Wuxian again. Realistically, he knew there were things that they might have small arguments about -- they were brothers, after all -- but he also knew that there were small arguments that he could avoid by not being so... him.

Though he liked to think that he was doing better, here. If he was not, then would Lan Xichen care about him as he seemed to? (No, his cheeks did not tint a faint pink when he thought of his beloved.)

He got there first and found a good spot for the four of them to sit and waited for the arrival of the rest of his party.

There was, honestly, no telling who had suggested a double date. He was happy that they'd all agreed to it though. It had also been a bit since he'd gone to one of the movie marathons despite liking them. The idea, itself, has him bouncing on the balls of his feet. This? It was one of the many things of Madison Valley that he enjoyed.

"You're turning pink, A-Cheng," He teases even as he sits down beside his brother. His zhiji could sit down beside him and Lan Xichen could sit beside his brother. Him and Jiang Wanyin would be between the two Lans.

Jiang Cheng shook his head and ducked it for a few moments before he looked at his brother, hoping that the pinkness had disappeared. He hated that he seemed to turn pink so easily -- and that his brother was usually the one who witnessed it.

"I do not know what you are referring to," he said primly, try -- and failing -- to refrain from smiling. Wei Wuxian knew how much he cared about Lan Xichen.

	His little brother could duck his head all he wanted but that didn't mean he hadn't caught the action. Hadn't caught the pinkness to him. Maybe it'd be harder to see in the dark but it had definitely been there. So, when his brother tries to deny it, he laughs. "Aiya! "Do you realize how long it took for me and Lan Zhan to realize we loved each other?" It had taken him dying before things truly came to light. Sure, he'd had a crush on Lan Wangji when he was fifteen but he wasn't sure what the other man's feelings had been. Everyone made it seem like the other had hated him. It wasn't until his resurrection that he'd found out the other loved him.

He gives a smirk," I don't think anyone would want a wife like shijie. Not when shijie was perfect." Unfortunately, she married a stupid peacock but she loved the man and the man had loved her, even if he'd been an idiot about it at first.

"No, no one deserved her." That? Wei Wuxian could agree on. No one had deserved their sister. No one was good enough for their sister. Not even the stupid Peacock, to him, had been good enough for their big sister. "He did make her happy. She deserved all that happiness and more too."

He gives a small smile," Aiya. You deserve Xichen-ge. I'm glad that you found someone that makes you happy, didi."

He turned back to his brother, obviously reluctant to stop looking at Xichen.

"He does and I hope that I make him as happy as he does me."

He didn't get to say more as the Lan brothers came to sit with them and the first movie started.

Yes, he was quite happy with the life he had here.

Lan Wangji had often enjoyed Lady Melinda's movie marathons because he learned a great deal about the entertainment choices of the place that he was now living in. It also sometimes helped him learn more about the world he was in -- when it wasn't causing him to have more questions about what was happening around him.

A Valentine's Day movie marathon seemed like a good thing to attend to get a better feel of this holiday that seemed to be a worldwide phenomenon. He had tried to do some research on the holiday but there were things that kept conflicting and the computer had been very confusing with the answers he received.

So, he had decided to stop obsessing on looking everything up and just enjoy time with the people he loved most in the world. And Jiang Wanyin.

He arrived at the theater and found the seats that Jiang Wanyin had so thoughtfully found for them.

Unlike his brother, he had never truly come to these movie marathons. He had probably come to one or two, if that, but he'd never actively come to more than that. That wasn't to say that he wouldn't try to start coming to them. They seemed like a good thing to come to. Something fun and a way to learn about the entertainment that came to this place.

He, himself, had done exactly what his brother had done. There were many different Valentine's Day things. Things that contradicted one another. He was not sure why there would be things such as that. However, he figures that no matter what they do their significant others wouldn't mind as long as it was done with love.

He takes note of the seats and gives a smile," Is there one that you wish to know about the most?" Was there a movie that his brother thought would be good to learn about more than the others.

Wangji was distracted from trying to figure out how he could seat himself next to his husband and his brother while knowing that both his brother and husband were also going to want to sit next to Jiang Wanyin. This was not something he had thought about with these theater seats. He liked it better when the movies were in the park, but not many of the people here could handle to cold as he and Xichen could.

He turned back to his brother and then shook his head. "No. I did not try to research any of them after the confusion that looking up the holiday itself caused." He gave Xichen a small smile. "Are there any that you are looking forward to more?"

If his baby brother really wanted it they could have a different placement. It would either be their beloved men between them or them between their beloved men. It would depend on what Wei Wuxian and Jiang Wanyin wanted to do. Depending on placement it would mean either the Lan brothers sat together or the others sat together.

"I do not have a preference either," He tells him with a bit of a smile. "Does Master Wei know anything about the holiday that was not confusing?" After all, Wei Wuxian had been there longer than all three of them.

Wangji wasn't going to try to change the seating in anyway as soon as he saw the happy look on his face about just having a simple conversation with his brother. He figured one of them would sit next to one of the brothers and then continue with any conversation that they decided to have.

There was the whole conversation of what they planned to do for their partners on the actual day of Valentine's Day since that was meant to be the special day.

"If he knows anything about these he has not shared with me. But he was busy trying to adjust to all of the cultural difference when he arrived here."

"That is true. No one is native to our home. I'm sure that it was hard when Master Wei first showed up here," Xichen tells his brother. There had been quite a bit of cultural differences when they, themselves, first showed up. Learning the English language had been an interesting way to start things. He is happy that they could speak the language here and understand it now.

He gives his brother a smile," I am sure that we will figure out this holiday one way or another. Perhaps there is someone else we can speak to that might understand it better."

"I am just glad that he is no longer alone here. I know that Wei Ying can make friends wherever he goes, but it is good to have family when you have been brought to a place that you have no knowledge of or do not understand the world you are now in."

Learning the devices and the new language had been both interesting and frustrating to him and sometimes it had been more difficult than he wanted to admit. Thankfully, he was better adapted now.

Wangji nodded at his brother. "We are skilled at figuring puzzles out."

Lan Xichen gives a slight nod. He knows good and well just how easily his brother-in-law made friends. That was the one thing about Wei Wuxian that just about anyone knew. The man had always been good at making friends with people around him. He'd done that with Nie Huaisang and quite a few others back in Cloud Recesses, before his death.

"That, Wangji, we are. There is nothing that we can't figure out."
