When Lucky had went shopping with Kurt for her school supplies and some more modern clothes, she had noticed this adorable bookstore. That was something that she had never been able to resist, so she had gotten permission from Kurt to spend her Saturday morning there. Sure that was probably the last place most kids would want to spend their free time, but for her a bookstore and riding Spirit were the two most amazing places to be. With that in mind she had her entire day planned; she was going to see what she could find in the bookstore, and perhaps have herself multiple cups of tea. And then she was going to buy some pastries, stop at the market to get some lemons and sugar to make fresh lemonade and some apples for Spirit. Then she could pack a picnic and head over to the stables for a nice ride and picnic in this amazing fall weather. With that in mind she had a few of the reusable shopping bags she had asked Kurt to purchase for her the other day. When one was walking home from the store they just held up better when packing produce. She also had the little electronic thing she had been given and a small change purse in it with some money to pay for her purchases. Honestly she was hoping to purchase at least one new book along with her food items. She would like to learn more about this world's literature, and honestly Spirit seemed to enjoy it when she read to him. Perhaps it was just the sound of her voice and the fact that she seemed to enjoy it, but Spirit would always lay with her in the grass for hours after a nice long ride. With all of those thoughts rushing through her mind she made her way inside the book store. She looked around the store, trying to decide which section to start in. In the end she decided to head over to the the young adult section and before she even made it to the regular shelves she stumbled upon the value bin. This was something she wasn't familiar with, but compared to the prices she had seen everywhere else these seemed substantially lower. This made her very happy, because she might be able to buy 3 books instead of 1 at these prices. So, she dug right in and began looking through the books. |
