Who: EVERYONE
When: Tuesday September 1
Where: The Park
What: 1930's movie marathon
Status/Rating: Ongoing/PG-13ish
Warnings: None so far…if it needs to be updated let me know.
Melinda arrived at the park early enough to set up the food station with "bunny salad", pigs in a blanket, cherries jubilee and black bottom pie. She had stayed up pretty much all night making all the food to make sure that she had enough. Then putting all the food in the back of the van she drove it and started to set everything up. She even included mixers to make 1930's cocktails and mocktails. Melinda had dressed up in her 1930's outfit from the prohibition, she looked like she came out of the movie Gone with the Wind which was one of the movies that was going to be playing.
When she got everything set up, she made sure that she had the movies. The truck with the big screen would let people enjoy all the movies. She looked around and it literally felt like she stepped into the 1930's. The 3 movies that would be playing in the park were Gone With the Wind, King Kong and The Wizard of Oz. She hoped that everyone that was going to be coming would enjoy what she had planned. If this was a success and the rest of the event was successful she would start planning her own movie themed events. As people started to arrive, she went up to the microphone to give a little speech. "I would like to welcome you all to 1930's movie night. We have lots of great food that was made famous in the 1930's and we have some cocktails for the adults and mocktails for the younger people. The movies that will be playing today are Gone with the Wind, King Kong and The Wizard of Oz. So relax and enjoy. Thank you."
Melinda then had the first movie start while she went back to the food table to help serve the refreshments for this event. She smiled as she looked around. She had planned this, her mother would be so proud.
