John hadn't gone to speed dating since he was seeing Jo and didn't feel the need to meet anyone else. He was happy with her, and loyal, so he didn't even think of going, even though he knew that some people were going just to make friends. That wasn't John, so he'd spent the week not terribly active on the network, letting people talk about their speed dating stuff.

He was thinking of making a special dinner for Jo, but he wanted to make sure he could actually do it first, so he headed to Walmart to grab the supplies and make it for himself tonight. While he still didn't use his powers much in public, sometimes when he was in a huge place like Walmart, he would find quiet spaces and teleport from one edge of the store to the other, because seriously, the place was way too big in John's mind.

He'd just appeared out of nowhere in the aisle with the pots and pans, because he needed a new spatula if he was going to do things right. And as good as he was at teleporting, this time he appeared almost on top of someone and leapt back, falling to his butt on the hard floor.

"Hey, sorry!" he cried, knowing very well that it was his fault.

	"Not cornbread, no," he said simply. "I'm wanting to fix a meal for my girlfriend, but I'm not a great cook so I wanted to make it for myself first. Just in case. And I just needed some utensils and stuff." He looked over at the things and saw the tiny pancake maker. "I'd have to eat like a jillion of those things to get full. I'm all for full-sized pancakes." 	He didn't really get why she hated pears so much, but if she did, she did. He wasn't going to judge her on that. "Alright, then. No pears." He looked at the time on his phone and jumped a little. "I've gotta get going. It was nice to meet you." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
