Having been in town a few months now, Isobel was becoming more familiar with the town and its people each day. While people did come and go on occasion, most of those Isobel had come in contact with, including her brother and others from home, had, thankfully, remained in Madison Valley. While Max and a few of the others had been sent home for a time, they returned, much to Isobel’s relief, and after adding the 80’s plot craziness (of which she was still related to Max thank God) in, Isobel was looking forward to a little down time. Of course, it wouldn’t be all surprising if she did not receive any relaxation time, but for the moment, it seemed Madison Valley was giving her a chance to just do what she wanted to do.
With determination and excitement, Isobel decided to take whatever free moments the town gave her and explore a place she had yet to go: The Den. Obviously, strip clubs had never been in her thing even before she was married, but with a new viewpoint on life thanks to an impromptu trip home, Isobel was feeling more confident and daring than before. Dressed in a lightweight, summery dress that clinged in all the right places to her tall frame, she stepped inside, doing her best to seem as little out of place as possible. After all, she had pretended for how many years? It wasn’t hard to step right back into that role, especially after enjoying a few drinks.
She made her way to the bar, ordering herself a cocktail from the menu, and settled into one of the empty seats, gaze shifting over to the many stages situated around the building. Isobel was definitely curious and far more open than she had been prior to Noah’s death and “the lentil.” That thought in particular still disturbed her as she had almost died trying to terminate her unplanned pregnancy with Noah’s alien spawn.
Her drink arrived and Isobel took a long sip in a desperate attempt to push those thoughts far away. Noah was the last thing she wanted to think about tonight.
