Reileen Kawahara was not a good person. In fact, she'd like to say she was a bad person. But overall she'd become a better person, thanks to Garin. Though even that felt weird to say, to be honest. She loved him, though she was not one to tell him that. She showed him in her own ways what her love was. It was certainly unconventional. When she felt a little too many feelings, she delved further into work. She loved being in the Lab and working on her pet projects. She'd sent a few of her biomedical designs off to be made for the area, and thus, earning her plenty of money to keep up her lifestyle.
The problem with Reileen was that she was still a fundamentally broken individual. She'd jumped sleeves so often back home she was a little broken. She just knew how to hold it together without actually letting anyone know it. She was having a bad day in that regard. She was having dreams of her past - not really anything new, just ones she hadn't thought of in awhile. And she wasn't sure - was that a pang of guilt? No, it couldn't be. She bent over her work at the Lab until her mind swarm with the thoughts of her brother's lover locked beneath their hideout. She nearly broke the laptop in her anger as she got up and left.
She settled down at a cafe, with a mug of coffee and a large sandwich, long legs crossed beneath the table, her stare ice cold as she tried to sort that back out and get back to where she belonged.
