The Lupin/Snape Lurve Community

I've had several requests for a Drabble/Drawable night this weekend. Who is up for one this Saturday at noon PST (3 P.M. EST)? I'm sure you all know the drill by now, but if anyone needs instructions for getting into chat or would like an explanation of the rules just drop me a line below. :) Artists are encouraged to participate by way of "drawables" or quick sketches of whatever they come up with based on the prompts provided, you can pick and choose the prompts you wish to fulfill and take longer than the time we allot for each drabble round, maybe half an hour or so? The idea is to have fun and get some practice in more than to make a perfect contribution whether by drabbles or drawables. I hope to see you all there! :D

I've just added the following to our community rules:

7. On Fridays, community members past and present may advertise their personal distribution pursuits, be they hobbies or for-profit once a month. In other words, if you have something for sale or to give away or donate or show off that has nothing to do with Snape and Lupin, you can make a post about it on any one Friday in a month. That means you, as an individual, can post a personal accomplishment/sale ad once a month. This rule is at moderator discretion. If you join this community solely to post an ad, your post will be deleted and you'll be banned. If you're worried you might be deleted/banned because you're mostly lurker and unfamiliar as a community member, feel free to write the mod mail before you post and we'll work it out.

And with that, Friday personal ads are now open!

I very much doubt that many people will try to take advantage of the community by joining just to post an ad, but there's always an asshat or two out there. If you're a lurker or a very distant past community member, you should still take advantage of this new rule. If you're worried I'm going to ban you, don't hesitate to drop me an email before you post.

Remember, ultimately, I want you to post, not just for this but for anything here on the community. The rules are in place to guide us and inform non-members of how the community operates, not to discourage posting. To this day, I've never had to ban anyone from the community - you all always live up to the faith I put in you! ♥

Title: The Answer Was Love

Summary: "This isn’t magic — it’s logic — a puzzle. A lot of the greatest wizards haven’t got an ounce of logic; they’d be stuck in here forever." What if Remus, who has being trying and failing to befriend Severus for several years, learned of Severus’ affinity for logic puzzles? What if after befriending him, he fell in love and decided that maybe the only way to Severus’ heart was through his brain?

Timeline: Post war, both lived, the Tonks train wreak never happened and thus no Teddy.

Pairings: Friendship and eventual Snape/Lupin Pre-slash so far, but it might eventually become full blown slash. Background Harry/Hermione.

Disclaimer: If you think any of these characters are mine please tell me what world you live in so I can move there posthaste! Also all of the puzzles in this story are real and actual logic puzzles that I have solved in various computer games with the obvious exception of the Rubik’s cube which I played in reality. None of the puzzles mentioned hereafter are my intellectual property and at the end I will give credit where credit is due for each in order of appearance. This part also features a tweaking of an exchange of dialog from one of my favorite movies, I bet you all can spot it! :D

Warnings/kinks: none yet unless mind games, both literal and metaphorical, count. Sneaky Remus, sneaky Severus, courtship, drama. Also I switch POV between the boys; hopefully it will be simple to tell whose head you’re in. This is a WIP, but I have the first third or so done, I just need to write the very end. I suspect I will post a section a month without any real breaks as I've quite the backlog. :)

AN: I plan on posting the next part of TAWL in a week or so as opposed to my usual once a month so that those that are so inclined will have time to solve this riddle on their own, but not be forced to wait so long that they become frustrated with not being able to check their answer.
