Severus never though he'd ask another man to dance. But here, in on the straw-pale dance floor, Gershwin's words filling the air, it seemed natural.

The song ended, and Remus, eyes shining, took a step backwards. "I never knew you were such a good dancer."

"I have to partner Minerva for school dances. I've learned." He let himself be led back to their table. "You are an acceptable partner."

Remus chuckled. He waited for Severus to take his place before opening the Chamomile Club's menu. "The food can be a gamble, but I'm a bit peckish. Shall we?"

Severus nodded.
