Title: Milwaukee III
Challenges: Saturn [info]snape100, monsters of the sea [info]lupin100
Word Count: 100
Note: this series is a mini-sequel to Motherless Child, wherein Snape and Lupin adopt a baby werewolf. Johnny is about seven or eight during this visit to Remus's mother in America.

A crowd had gathered by the overlook by the wolf den. Severus shoved past a teenager dressed like Sailor Saturn and a child with a sea serpent puppet. "John!"

"Mom! There's a kid playing with the wolves!" A boy gestured with his ice lolly. "Cool."

Severus stared as John ruffled the alpha's fur. The wolf gave him a sniff, then flopped onto the ground and let himself be mauled. A she-wolf joined them, whining until John turned and petted her as well. Two more wolves watched at a distance.

Remus limped into view. The alpha began to growl.

The story is lovely. I really like the links back to the zoo as well. *worries a bit about Remus and the alpha*
