Severus rose. He had longed for such acknowledgement of his work, and he could not suppress a smile as he accepted the replica of Mercury's staff. His colleagues rose to applaud as he shook hands with Dr. Amorosis and stepped up to the podium.

Remus, grinning, pushed aside his chocolate mousse and waved. Severus nodded. "There are many people I must thank for their assistance. First and foremost, however, is Remus Lupin, whose willingness to experiment - "
