"So. Why did you do it?"
Teddy was tucked safely into bed and the Aurors were on their way to Malfoy Manor. Remus had not let the boy out of his sight, even when Severus arrived to retrieve his robes.
"Do what?"
"Help me." Remus kept his voice low. "You couldn’t stand Dora. Teddy - "
"Deserves better than living with the Malfoys." Severus looked at the sleeping child. "He's yours. You should be the one to raise him."
"But - "
"Consider the polyjuice a present." Severus produced a bottle of sparkling wine. "Happy birthday."
"The happiest," murmured Remus.
