" - where you nearly choked on the scent of your own blood." Lupin's collar was open enough to show the Ministry identification tattoo. "You have friends, a home, a fresh start. Why do you want to remember?"

"Because it's my life! You're part of it! I - "

Lupin had gone sheet-white. "No. Maybe before, but not now. Severus - "

Severus grabbed his face and kissed him.
