The Philosopher's Stone is going to be my project for a while. This means I'll slowly make my way through the screencaps I made and make icons from pretty much anything I like :D

I have an easy file name build up for icontests: the shortening of the icontest (emma), the challenge/round-challenge (24 - Round 2, Challenge 4 I guess) and counting the icons I made :D

Thanks :D I very nearly submitted #18. I couldn't really decide and ended up thinking the text was too risky :D

Movie 1:
One day I'll have to make a tutorial for #36. I surprised myself with the result :D

Although I do have some textures for the effect, I figured out how to recreate it quicker than I could pick a texture :D
If I remember it correctly (it's past 1am and I'm slightly tipsy from the small round celebrating my new flat mate's 19th bday) I first make the entire layer black, use the "Difference Clouds" filter (with foreground colour white and background black) followed by "Halftone Pattern" with the size set to the minimum (1 I think) (translations of filters courtesy of this page)

I just knew I had to use that text. Really bold. And yes, I think I did a radial blur on #80 (possibly followed by a slight Gaussian blur as the radial blur occasionally seems a bit pixelated in my eyes)

I think Vernon is actually brilliant :D I've had fun iconing him :D
