Current location:Ravenclaw Common Room
Current mood:jubilant

Who: All Ravenclaws, particularly the Quidditch team
What: Celebration for winning the match against Gryffindor and Merwyn's birthday
When: Saturday evening/night
Where: Ravenclaw Tower
Summary: The Ravenclaws are celebrating the recent win against Gryffindor and Merwyn with all sorts of treats and merriment.

Walking up to the Ravenclaw dormitory door, the bronze eagle knocker asked, "The beginning of eternity, the end of time and space, the beginning of every end, and the end of every place. What am I?"

Benjy replied with a quick, "The letter 'E'," and noted that even the knocker seemed too happy to make the questions difficult tonight. He shifted the weight of a case of butterbeer (kindly shared by the house elves) as he elbowed the door open.

It felt great to be able to celebrate, especially with how beat down everyone seemed to be feeling. There was a minor thread of guilt flitting through Benjy's joy, though. Benjy was still wearing the Gryffindor sweat band, and the smile on his face flickered just a touch as he stared at the scarlet and gold around his wrist. Even though Ravenclaw had put in such great work and truly earned the win, Gryffindor had an even worse bout of grief that was only added to tonight. Especially for Alice. He, probably better than anyone else, could understand what it would feel to be sidelined from the final year of being able to play on your team.

Regardless, the Ravenclaw's had every right to celebrate and enjoy themselves. "I got the butterbeer!" Benjy called out as he stepped into the common room.

Benjy followed along with Kira as she tugged on his shirt. His huge smile softened to a warmer smile when Kira was talking him up. But as soon as she brought up James, Benjy's feelings completely switched. No matter how much people thought that the loss was Potter's fault or that he had failed the team in some way, James had actually done a good job for a last minute replacement.

"Thank you. But, you know, I think James actually did quite well as the captain. The team was thrown off balance by not having Alice, and he stepped in to take care of what they needed. I mean, he had to be doing something right to keep the game that even all along. No matter what Gilderoy says, there's a lot of luck involved when it comes to the snitch.

"And I know that Alice is going to be fine. It was just such a low blow. I mean, even though we are all a competitive bunch, we can't help but band together." He shrugged it off, but the whole situation still bothered him a great deal. Another student blatantly attacking Alice? There had better be some justice for what was done.

As Kira turned his arm to inspect where he had been hit, he knew that she was going to react badly. "It looks a lot worse than it really is. I'm going to take care of it before bed tonight. I just haven't had a chance since the match. And Sirius was just playing up to his position's standards. It's my fault for not paying better attention." He brought back his joking tone to try to lighten the mood back up. Truth be told, his arm hurt like hell, but he wasn't going to complain about a little thing like that, especially when Alice had it so much worse.
