Thomas didn't bother to read the conversations Justine had with anyone else on the network. That would take too much time, and his only goal was to get to where she was, and see her, immediately. He knew he couldn't touch her, especially if somehow she was back in time to the months after he'd nearly killed her. She'd been willing to sacrifice herself for him, and he had been unable to control himself. Certain that she had died that night, he had been surprised to find his sister had taken her away, and allowed her to recover. The process had been slow and difficult, and the bond they shared clashed with his demon and his touch effectively burned her. At least he knew without doubt that their love was real, because true love was the only known cure for the White Court Curse. Of course it was too late for Thomas, he'd manifested the demon years before he'd ever met Justine, he'd never had a chance to defeat the Hunger, and instead had to live with it every day until his unnatural life ended.
He wasn't going to think about that now. One step in front of the other, he was headed to where Justine was waiting for him. The house she's apparently been assigned wasn't far from his. He didn't time how long it took to walk, but he was also walking at a faster pace than he'd usually walk. Motivation was high, for a number of reasons. He loved her, and he hated to be away from her. She was talking nonsense and he wanted to make sure she was all right. Mostly he just loved her and wanted to see her.
He reached the door after what felt like a cross country walk-a-thon, when in fact it had been only a few minutes. He knocked. "Justine! It's me. Can you hear me, love?"
