"No, no," Thomas shook his head. "Nothing like the Nevernever." Thank the gods, or the faeries or whomever needed to be thanked for that small mercy. There were certainly some interesting people about, but as far as Thomas could tell, none of them were anything like the creatures that came from the Nevernever.
He smiled a little sadly, and imagined taking her hand in his and holding it there. "I don't know how it's possible, love. I don't know how we ended up here at all, but it seems you've come from a point in time a few years in my past."
At least he knew she eventually made a full recovery. He'd prefer not to think of the details, the hardships she had endured. It was his fault, he'd done this to her.
