A small hum of pleasure escaped from the confines of the beast deep down inside of Valentina, with fluid movement against the appliance her spoon in hand she moved over the steaming pot to take in a deep whiff. Eyes fluttering shut, a pinch of nutmeg was added in to the mix and the spicy hit filled the kitchen next. When the red head opened her eyes, there it was, almost by surprise still steaming and dripping off of the fork in one beautiful, glistening coil of pasta. Valentina's mouth drifted open, and the fork slid in. A guttural moan followed, and a fist thumped the stainless steel of the counter top, sending ripples through the glass of vodka and lemonade she had been nursing.
"Blimey! By the gods Nysa, I think I might have just done it." Mad green gaze flashed down to the small calico cat at her side. "That's the bloody best carbonara I have ever put in my mouth. And all it took was a bit of spice and jamon iberico. Who would have even guessed?"
The tasting fork hit the counter with a small hollow sound, and basking in the afterglow Val turned around to scribble the Nutmeg down into her moleskin- only to be interrupted by the chime announcing an entrance, and at this time of the afternoon it could have only meant one thing. Checking her safebox, she noted a distinctive lack of funds; she's had to replace her window earlier in the week when a gang fight had sent a stray bullet straight through it. "Bollocks."
There was a grumble, and dipping her chefs knife into the pot, covering it with sauce as a last ditch weapon, she strolled out to clean it off on her apron mid greeting. "Oy, Evening there, how might I be of service to you this early in the day?"
