Guinness - so this man had either made an assumption based off her accent, he just knew good beer or it was all they had on tap. Either way that it went Kiara was completely alright with it. Especially since all that mattered was that she had a good beer in front of her and she was going to drink it. Nearly half of it was gone before the bartender had managed to make his way over. Kiara had never been a shy drinker and it was doubtful that she would ever become one. If over four centuries had not done it, or at least taken the edge of her thirst, then nothing would. Interesting. Kiara's eyes narrowed slightly at the remark about a man of courage and bravery in her past. As though one of those would ever have any sort of a place in her life. Oh, wait... O'Neill. The Irish chieftain she had actually believed in enough to follow when she was still young enough to be considered a youth by mortal standards. But he had been a disappointment. The only sort of courage and bravery that lasted in this world was hers. A woman o' courage and bravery is right. The rest was not all that bad. And correct on the second; though Kiara doubted that there was going to be anything else for her to learn. Was it not enough that she fiddled with cell phones and the internet?
"Reader," Kiara accused casually, taking a slower drink as he moved to go away. "And not the sort to skulk about a county fair." Tilting her head slightly she set her glass down. "Maybe the type to be in a magic shop. Not a bartender. Not a great calling for your sort?" Psychic blood was wonderful. It made very interesting spells, the former druggie vampires loved it, and if it came from a male then he had the advantage of being potential prey. An idle thought with no real bite behind it. Kiara hated preying on the local populace when she had a choice. It made life that much harder. But on the flip side, it meant that Kiara could amuse herself with conversation with the bartender. Something that so many people seemed to enjoy doing and something she avoided like it was a plague. Might as well be a plague. Whoever got decent conversation from a man?
