Random blond man didn't bathe her in holy water for his amusement. Circe chuckled at Lumi's implication. She hadn't been very discreet about Antonin because she had thought she hadn't needed to. The idea of him following her all the way to the United States hadn't even been a thought in her mind, considering he'd left her alone while she lived with Adam. Then again, Adam had fangs and a temper. And the United States did not. "No, I really wouldn't care," Circe shrugged. "If you want to be his little non-platonic friend, you can go ahead, chickadee," Circe laughed softly again. Reaching out, she stroked Lumi's hair out of her face and patted the other girl's cheek. "If you think being with a man that isn't your husband is a cause for condemnation, then I have stories that would make your ears shrivel up, duckling."
Stepping away, Circe crossed her arms again to smile at Lumi. "Shock over what, I imagine? Now, I feel you've said what you have to say. My husband is in town, he asked you for coffee, you're seeing him for dinner and showing him around. It would almost be romantic," Circe leaned against her worktable. "You're dismissed, Nurse Theiss. I would imagine there is some patient on your floor that needs a diaper change," she added with a small smile. The girl would see him again, if only to warn him about how his dear wife was cheating on him with someone, according to the hospital grapevine. Too late, sweetheart, he already knows. And that's why he had his rings galvanized onto my hand. Someone had said in a movie that it was the honest people you had to look out for. Circe thought the honest people were easier to manipulate. "Now, get out of my lab."
