Mina was encouraged as he walked towards her. It was nice to see that he hadn't shied away from her...other nature. This could be a very fun night for Mina, provided that she had judged Emlyn correctly. She felt like a lioness, slowly luring her prey into security as she backed up instinctively away from his arms.
She listened closely to the soothing thrum of his pulse, and the scent of adrenaline that pierced the air like the sweetest perfume. She couldn't understand how some vampires got off on fear when pleasure was so much more inviting. "I didn't need your permission Em. I thought of it as more than a... flirtatious question than an actual invitation. But it doesn't matter that much really, I still took what I wanted invited or not." She said almost breathlessly. She too was breathing a little hard, even though it wasn't necessary.
He was still coming towards her as he spoke, challenging her right back. Suddenly, she no longer felt like the predator, but like the prey that had fallen right into a trap as she bumped into the couch and fell onto it's soft contours. She inwardly laughed at his strategy. Well played, Em. It looks like you know what you are doing after all.
