TIME UPDATE
DATE: Wednesday, July 29, 2009.
BIRTHDAYS: Harley
WEATHER: Temperatures and humidity actually cool off a bit today, which is a welcome change for many! It’s still in the low 80s, but it’s accompanied by a lovely breeze.
EVENTS: Boy, some days nothing at all happens, and then there are days like today. Where everything happens.
Local news outlets are reporting that local man and business owner Dexter Byrne was reported missing by his family several days ago. As, by all accounts, it seems he left of his own accord, this isn’t so much breaking news. A family member came home to find the house they shared emptied of all of Dexter’s personal belongings, and it doesn’t seem authorities have been too concerned about it. But now police are going on record saying Byrne is wanted for questioning regarding several crimes he may have had a part in. Further details have not been released. Members of the Byrne family were not reached for comment.
That’s nowhere near all for local news! Kendal Hathaway, daughter of prominent community figures Aldwin III and Katharine Hathaway, was taken to the hospital in the early hours following what was initially quoted to be a vampire attack at St. Francis' Church – and shockingly, it was reported to be at the vampire Bishop’s hands. Soon after another report is issued, including a direct statement from Kendal. Kendal is quoted as saying “it wasn't an attack, he was attacked by [expletive] fascists.” The Bishop is currently MIA.
And if THAT's not enough, a vampire was found dead (the permanent kind) in an Ann Arbor nightclub parking lot last night. His brain was destroyed with a silver bullet, but his identity is not currently being released, as authorities are trying to track down his house and alert them first. If that's not enough, siren blood was found in his system. So there is a vampire hunting vigilante on the lose, and the Ann Arbor area has a confirmed siren in the area. Lock up your vampires and husbands!
Today’s also a big day for vampires and vampire politics in Scarlet Oak! And perhaps that’s a good thing. City administrator adviser (and vampire) Liliya Kennedy and human rights activist Cameron Calvert are having a political debate on the merits of supernaturals having equal rights to humans at town hall, at 7:00 tonight. The event will have local news coverage.
If you have something you feel warrants a mention in the next time update, please let the mods know!
